9.0 Healing Dice Rules

Healing Dice: allows players with this ability to heal those who are wounded in combat and/or resurrect a fallen comrade.

Uses:

Role-Playing use: to be used by healers and characters with inherent healing capabilities (i.e.: paladins, good magus, elves, etc.) after a combat situation, to heal oneself or a comrade. In role-playing usage there is no cost for the usage. The entire scenario is simply RP'd out. In other words, basically anyone can role-play a healing using free form methods and not rolling dice.

Combat use: there are two different guidelines for healing in combat situations; war or war-games match healing and resurrecting after a DM level 2 match, whether during a war or war-games, or outside of one.

9.1 War or War-games healing: The following rules apply to every DIE forum Healer and the Combatants they are healing:
9.1.1 Healing during a war or war-games match can be done but at a cost to the one requesting the healer. The person requesting healing MUST have Life Points (clearly shown in their profile) equal to the amount of Life Points healed. (See Example 9-1a).
9.1.2 In order to be healed the healer MUST be present during the match and MUST be a registered forum healer (proper healer title/number in profile) but does NOT have to be from the same organization (guild, clan, family, etc) as either combatant.
9.1.3 The healer MUST be present in the realm at the time of need and MUST do the healing in front of both combatants.
9.1.4 The healer IS allowed to heal both combatants regardless of who requested the healer's presence and MUST do so if requested. Or each combatant may have their own healer.
9.1.5 After the log has been turned on and the combatants state their names, ranks and affiliations, the healer MUST also state name, rank and healing die. (See Chart 9-1 for rank/die list).
9.1.6 The proctor may NOT also heal during the match.
9.1.7 Healing can ONLY be done after 10 HPs have been taken by the combatant requesting the healing. (See Chart 9-3 for amount of times healing is allowed per match).
9.1.8 Healing constitutes one round. The healing points awarded are added to the respective players scores. At the end of the match the proctor states how many points the combatants must pay for the healing services rendered. (See Example 9-1a).
9.2 DM Level 2 Resurrecting: All combatants and healers must adhere to the following stipulations regarding resurrecting. There are absolutely no exceptions to the rules. If you do not wish to risk deleting your character, do not DM.
9.2.1 The healer MUST be from the same affiliation as the combatant requiring rezzing.
9.2.2 All rezzes MUST be logged with the healer clearly stating his name, rank, affiliation and die, the log MUST be sent to his affiliation forum representative.
9.2.3 The healer has 24 HOURS from the end of the DM Level 2 to perform the resurrections If not done in 24 hours the combatant must delete his SN no exceptions.
9.2.4 The healer rolls their die and MUST roll a 20 or higher for the rezz to be successful. (See Example 9-2a).
9.2.5 One rezz attempt per hour is allowed in the 24 hour time frame by any qualified healer in the combatants affiliation. All logs must reflect time accurately in order for the rezz to be acceptable. A member of the opposite affiliation must be present for each attempt. If there is no member of the opposite affiliation present in the realm within the 24 hour time, rezz is automatic and the rules of a DM Level 1 then take place.
9.2.6 The healer acts as proctor during a rezz, logging and getting all pertinent information on the record.

Example 9-2a
A Death Match Level 2 was fought between Dumb and Dumber. Dumber lost and now is in need of rezzing. HihNMighty is attempting to rezz Dumber as Dumb watches.

HihNMighty:   I am a Priest with the Omnipotent Guardians of Allwhere, healer for Dumber. My die is 1d36. I shall be attempting to rezz my good friend and comrade.
Dumb:   :::watches with a smirk on her face:::
HihNMighty:   ::calls on all the Gods he knows praying for rezz...NOW:::
OnlineHost:   HihNMighty rolled 1 36-sided die: 15
HihNMighty:   Rezz unsuccessful

One hour later the same healer tries again, this time Dumb is gone but his Commander, GenDummy is present.

HihNMighty:   I am a Priest with the Omnipotent Guardians of Allwhere, healer for Dumber. My die is 1d36. I shall be attempting to rezz my good friend and comrade.
GenDummy:   :::watches with a blank look on his face:::
HihNMighty:   ::sacrifices a punt demon to satisfy the Gods in return for his friends soul:::
OnlineHost:   HihNMighty rolled 1 36-sided die: 28
HihNMighty:   Rezz successful, the rules of a DM level 1 take place, placing Dumber in the hospital for x amount of days. (where x = the difference in the score divided in half. i.e.: final DM score was 34-30, in favor of Dumb, Dumber was rezzed but is in bed wounded for 2 days [34 minus 30 equals 4 divided by 2 equals 2] and is not allowed to interact IC with anyone).
