Its quite sad really.
Marvin aged to be 37 times older than the universe itself doing meanial erronds for lower lifeforms.
Every part in his body has been replacet at least 42 time. Every part that is except for the diods on his right side.
That were the first thing to go.
Marvins sad and depressing life is not without its moments.

Marvin once had his leg amputated and used as a key to unlock the planet krick.
He actually saved the universe once. He was a super computer so the people of Kricket hooked him up to their central computer so that they would posses all his knoledge.
Marvin was so depressed that it caused all the kricket robot warriors to just sulk in bitter unhappieness.
Marvin was a robot. Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy describes a robot as "A mechanical apparatus designed to do the work of a man- from The Encyclopaedia Galactica. "Your Plastic Pal Who's Fun To Be With."- from the marketing division of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation." But then Hitch Hikers Guide describes the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation as "a bunch of mindless jerks who'll be the first against the wall when the revolution comes." An edition of the Encyclopaedia Galactica that had the good fortune to fall through a time warp from a thousand years in the future defined the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation as "a bunch of mindless jerks who were the first against the wall when the revolution came."
