This all happened on July 31, 1999. Well, I know a guy that does autograph sessions, so I was bugging him to get the Brood for me. Well, I was on line to meet Road Dog at another autograph session and the guy was passing out fliers for a wrestling convention that he was promoting. He spotted me and smirked handing me a paper. I looked and it said THE BROOD AND KANE will be on hand for autograph sessions!!! I almost died. He told me that he would do what he could to introduce me to them. Little did I know what was gonna happen. I wasn't nervous until the day of the show.
I couldn't even sleep, cause I was so excited!! I mean, I only had three hours sleep!! The show was from 10-4 and they were gonna be there from 1-3, so me and my mom got there around 11. We walked around and I bought a new Edge figure that I didn't have. I also bought the new Christian and Gangrel figures too!! There were two different lines because Gangrel and Kane were in one room and Christian and Edge were in another room. I was on the line to meet Christian and Edge when I heard a whole bunch of commotion and I looked down the hall and saw Kane!!! Let me tell you, this man is huge!!! Then I saw Christian. I almost died. My mind totally went blank!! But, I touched his arm and he smiled at me and said hi!!! I started freaking out!!! Edge was nowhere to be found. One of the security guys said that he was still upstairs. Since the line for Gangrel and Kane was moving my mom told me to go over there and she would hold my place in the Edge and Christian line. So, I went over to the other line and within a couple of minutes Edge came walking through. I was in shock!! I knew he looked good, but not that good!! My mom yelled for me to go over to Edge and Christian's line. Well, I got into the room and was in total awe. I kind of felt bad for Christian because all the girls were going to see Edge and poor Christian was just sitting there. How can you not go see him? He's so cute!!! It was finally my turn. I had no idea what to say.
I got Edge and Christian gothic cross necklaces and I also got Edge Blue Airheads since they are his favorite. I congratulated Edge on his engagement to Alanah (Val's sister) and talked to him about his match at Continental Arena that night. I actually talked to him, but he could tell that I was nervous. I gave the stuff to Christian and Edge, they signed my picture and then I shook their hands. My friend told me to come back later, so I went to see Gangrel and Kane. I got Kane's autograph and shook his hand and then I went over to see Gangrel. I met him and Luna in February and he remembered me!!! I have a brood book with all pics, articles and other stuff in it. I have a section for the wrestlers that I have met, a section for Christian, a section for Edge, a section for Gangrel, and a section for the Brood. So, I showed him the book and he started making fun of Edge and Christian's pics. I wasn't nervous meeting him at all. Gangrel is really cool. I asked him about Luna and I asked him if I could see the tattoo on his shoulder. Then we just talked for a bit and I took a pic with him. I think Gangrel is the coolest wrestler that I've met so far. He yelled at me cause I got Christian and Edge's autograph first. After that I went back over to Edge and Christian again.
I stood in the room while they were signing autographs. The guy that I know told me to show Edge and Christian the book. Then I asked him if I could take a pic with Edge and Christian. So, I went behind the table and more people came for autographs, so I just stood there. Then he goes to me, "Hey, why don't you sit next to Edge before you pass out. And you could show him and Christian the book while you're sitting there too." I wasn't hesistating. I pulled a chair over and sat right next to Edge behind the table. hehehehehe. lol. I wasn't nervous anymore. When there wasn't any more people me, Edge, and Christian were looking at my book. They are so hilarious!! Edge was making fun of Christian's pics, Christian was making fun of Edge's pics, then they both were making fun of Gangrel's pics. We were all talking like normal people, the didn't treat me like a fan at all. That's what was nice about it. Edge and Christian were both really nice guys!! The girls that were going up to see Edge and Christian were giving me dirty looks cause I was sitting next to Edge behind the table. I thought it was funny and I felt so special!! I also had Edge and Christian sign a couple of things for me. After a while it was time for them to leave so I took my pic with them and said my goodbyes. If you ever get a chance to meet them, go. Edge and Christian were so sweet. I'm meeting Gangrel again soon for the third time. And I'm hoping to meet Edge and Christian.
