This story takes place in the future. All unanswered questions will be answered later in the series. This is an introduction to get you where it is going, and the unanswered questions aren't that important yet.

====================================================

Betty was typing away in the Writer's Room. She knew she should be heading home. It was hard to believe that tomorrow would be her wedding day and Scott was going to be her husband. She wouldn't be surprised if he was waiting for her outside. He did that a lot lately.

She could hear footsteps in the hallway. "Is that you, Scott?" asked Betty. The door opened and in walked Victor. "Victor, what are you doing here?"

"You sent for me. The ring came back, and I told you to send it back if you ever needed me."

"I sent it back because it was all over between us."

"Betty, come back with me. I need you. We can be married."

"You don't know how long I've waited to hear that, and now you say it the day before my wedding."

"There's time to change your mind. I love you, Betty." Victor took Betty into his arms and kissed her.

"I'm so confused. Please go and I'll know tomorrow what I'll do," said Betty when their lips parted.

Betty looked at herself in the mirror and asked why choosing one man seemed so difficult. Shouldn't she know the answer? Maybe holding off the wedding would be the best idea until she knew. What should she do?

"You should make a decision. If you hold off from one then you are going to lose both men. If I were you, I would marry Scott. Well, I am you, but all your life you've tried to ignore me," said Betty's subconcious.

"How can you be so sure?" asked Betty.

"There are several reasons why you should marry Scott. First of all, you're supposed to marry him tomorrow. Secondly, the lifestyle you'll be living in will be much better suited for you. Just think, if you lived with Victor you'd have to leave WENN. Lastly, and most importantly, you love Scott more then Victor."

"But I love Victor. We share the same ideals. He's a wonderful man. He can teach me something new each day. I would have never grown up if it wasn't for him."

"What was it your mother used to say about love? 'Know what you want.'"

"But I don't know what I want, so that doesn't help me."

"What do you want in your life?"

"I want to be happy with the man I love."

"I remember when your dad asked you that same question when you were going off to college."

"Oh, yes. What did I say..."
