John, Frank, and Aaron we miss you and we love you

They are gone but truly not forgotten....

It seem like only yesterday that I was cursing at who ever thought to call my room at 5AM. Having woken up slightly and after my roommate was like "THERE'S A FIRE IN BOLAND!" I went to look out the window of my dorm room. The sight that I saw was one that I will never forget. I saw trucks and other vehicals around Boland and assumed that everything was ok, (boy was I mislead) and went back to bed. Then we recived a call at 7AM telling us that three people had died. Knowing how many friends I had who lived in Boland my thoughts turned to the worst. I tried to think of the best but that didn't work. My thoughts immeditally ran to my friend who had lost his brother in a car accident two years ago (from the time of the fire) and just happened to live in Boland. Thank God he was the first person I saw... I then proceeded to find most of my friends or at least I knew that they were safe. As my friends and I were looking for everyone that we knew, someone told us that one of our friends couldn't find his little brother... I kept up as much hope as possible for the best, but when I heard the names of John, Frank, and Aaron read over the radio I knew what I feared the most had happened... someone who was too young to die had died... Try as hard as we might the pain will linger on... it will fade... but not fully. January 19 will be a day that I will never forget.

I can't believe that almost a year has passed by since that infamous night in January. It seemed to be a never-ending year of tradgey for Seton Hall. Please keep all the members of the SHU family in your prayers as we continue to heal from the recent events. Thanks!

Please keep John, Frank and Aaron and their families in your prayers. Seton Hall has a long road ahead of it, please keep the Seton Hall family/community in your prayers as well, we will need them.

Angles Were Laughing

In silent moments, I wonder and pray
Asking God why did he take you away
Don't know the reason your time was at hand
After tonight, I think I understand
I heard the voices of angels tonight
Their laughter was all 'cause of you
It made me remember when you were here
And the funny things you would do
And I know that one day we'll meet again
In heaven's most glorious light
I know because the angels were laughing tonight

Feelings and questions, I had so many
Looking for answers, I never found any
Why do the people we love have to go?
I'm still not sure, but there's one thing I know
I heard the voices of angles tonight
Their laughter was all 'cause of you
It made me remember when you were here
And the funny things you would do
For now I believe I'll see you again
In heaven's most glorious light
I know because the angels were laughing tonight

From moment to moment, I still miss you here
But part of you my heart will always hold dear
The jokes you would make and the stories you'd tell
Whenever I listen, I still hear them well

I heard the voices of angels tonight
Their laughter was all 'cause of you
It made me remember when you were here
And the funny things you would do
And I know that one day, we'll meet again
In heaven's most glorious light
I know because the angels were laughing tonight
I know because the angels were laughing tonight
