• Gangrel and Christian (w/Edge) defeated The Hardy Boyz (w/Michael Hayes).
- Edge was at ringside with The Brood, and appeared to be well. He actually got involved in the match. It was very high paced, and probably one of the best in the night. High flying, just overall excellent. There was some outside interference by Hayes, but Edge ended up taking care of him. In the end, while everyone else battled on the outside of the ring, Gangrel hit his Implant DDT to get the win.
- Tiger got on the microphone and said insulted the American people. He also stated that Detroiters had one problem - they breathe. The match was kind of boring. Tiger kept stalling. In the end, Angle hit his finisher to pin Singh.
- The Godfather came out without the ho's with a wave of boos, and looked like he was about to climb into the ring, when he stalled and finally called out the ho's. He had two of them. They danced with him in the ring. Debra got up on the apron in this match, while Jarrett got the belt. When Godfather turned around, Jarrett swung the belt at him, but Godfather duck and stole the belt, hitting Jarrett. He went for the pin, but the referee was distracted because Nicole Bass came out to fight with Debra. When the referee came back into the ring, Jarrett had already used the belt on The Godfather. He then executed his Reverse Russian Legsweep to take the win.
- Steve Blackman worked the microphone, in which he said that it was great to be back in Detroit. (big pop). He then thanked the Detroit Red Wings for making him so much money because he bet against them in the Playoffs (big heat). The match itself was okay. They used the regular stuff - pans, chairs, tables, fire extinguishers. In the end, Blackman ended up falling through a table. Holly got hit with Head from Al Snow, and Snow then pinned Blackman to finish the match.
- Pretty good match. The Acolytes pinned X-Pac after delivering their finisher, in which Faarooq picked up X-Pac for an atomic drop. Bradshaw then grabbed X-Pac’s head and brought him down (an upside down 3-D) Afterwards, Kane helped up X-Pac, and raised his arm into the air.
- This match was scheduled to be a tag match with D-Lo and Mark Henry fighting Too Much, but Brian Christopher is out with a torn ACL. D-Lo came out alone. During the match, Taylor tried to leave the aena, but Mark Henry came out and picked up Taylor, threw him back into the ring, and remain at ringside for the remaining match. In the end, D-Lo hit the Lowdown to take the win.
- Median did some mic work, saying that he and Bossman were going to kick Shamrock and Test’s asses “Ministry Style." The match was pretty slow, and in the end, Shamrock finished off Median with the Ankle Lock.
- Entertaining match. Road Dogg did the shake, rattle, and roll routine, which got the crowd doing. The crowd was really into this one. In the end, Chyna interfered and hit Road Dogg with a low blow while the referee was distracted. Billy Gunn hit the Famouser to win the match. Afterwards, after Gunn and Chyna were gone, Road Dogg got on the mirophonec and said that if Chyna wanted to touch his balls, all she had to do was ask, which got a huge pop.
- Match was pretty high paced in the beginning, but ended up being more of a slow-type submission deal. Finally, Austin hit the Stunner on The Undertaker. He went down to pin him, but Paul Bearer pulled the referee out of the ring. A couple Corporate Ministry members then interfered, and went to double clothesline Austin, but he ducked and hit a double clothesline on them. He then hit a couple of Stunners, and celebrated in the ring.
Overall, it was an excellent show. By far, probably the best I’ve been to. It was hell getting through traffic, but it was fun. ... The WWF returns to the Joe Louis Arena on August 8, 1999 for a live Sunday Night Heat event.
