Eris from Slayers

Eris was done when a friend and I decided that we needed new "sexy" costumes because, we were, after all, 18. We wanted to go to a convention (Bay Con) to celebrate and dress in a "sexy" manner, unlike the unsexy manner that we earlier dressed in. We decided that we'd do anime costumes.  Sexy anime costumes.  I'm not quite sure what possessed us.  But I figured that I was game for it and now had to choose a character to do.  I had been watching Slayers a lot recently and liked the character of Eris and liked what she wore.  (Why not?)  My friend, wimp that she is, decided to go with Female Ranma.  (Now how sexy is that?)

Finding the dress took longer than almost anything else as I couldn't sew very well when I began the costume.  But I wanted it to be nice. I kept telling myself, "If I get one good costume, one really good costume, I won't need to do anymore."  Yeah, right. But Eris was my first "good" costume.  And for a long time, Eris was my only good costume...my only anime costume...and my only sexy costume. So it holds a special place in my heart. I may almost never wear it anymore.  But it's still in great condition. And it's still one of my personal favorites.
