Jews were forced by Nazis to wear the Star of David, classifying them as Jews. Non-Jews were encouraged, even rewarded, for not doing business or associating with Jews. Anyone caught helping a Jew would be punished as if they were Jewish.
Jewish families were encouraged by Nazis to leave their homes because this new place would improve their lifestyle because it would be all Jews. They could not bring most of their belongings, but took just what they could carry. They were then placed in ghettos where they lived under harsh conditions. Soon, they would be transportated to a concentration camp.
Teachers and non-Jewish students alike humiliated Jewish students in public on a daily basis. The writing on the chalkboard reads,"The Jew is our greatest enemy! Beware of the Jew!".
