If you would like a vacation in Native American territory, Stanley Island is the place for you. Part of the Akwesasne Mohawk Nation, Stanley Island is located on the Canadian side of the reservation, between Ontario and Quebec. The island is nestled in the enchanting St. Lawerence Valley, with the Adirondack mountains providing a beautiful southern vista.

For those who wish to tour the island habitats or fish our waterways, we have special rates for boat rentals. Please call ahead to make any special arrangements.

Whether you like to stroll along the waters edge, or sunbathe in a secluded beach area, Stanley Island offers you the relaxation of an Island get-away. The island has ten, two story log cabin homes, which over look the beautiful St.Lawrence River. Each with it's own boat dock. The cabins are modern inside, complete with a refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, toaster, and pine furnature. There is a wood burning stove for your enjoyment, the extra high ceiling in den also makes an added pleasure. Just bring your clothes and food and those few extras, the rest is supplied, dishes, pots and pans, and much more. Modern Bathrooms are a pleasure.

Sit out on the front deck and enjoy the veiw of the river, or sit on the rear deck and enjoy the island. Bird watchers can travel down the water way and observe the Great Blue Heron. Only two islands away. There is so much you can do.

Don't forget to visit the Bear's Den in Hogansburg New york on the U.S. side of the reservation. Try the Black Hawks Steak house, it's the best I've Had. How about some Mohawk Bingo, the bingo house will give you some thrills. Plus some great casino's are coming to the reservation, 777 and Showboat.
