Niniane's Place in The Three Damosels
Niniane in The Three Damosels, The Green Knight, and King Arthur's Daughter by Vera Chapman

This story lets Vivian (also called Nimue) be very much in love with Merlin and have one daughter, Blaisine, with him. She's a bit too saccharine for my taste...unlike her more vicious elder sisters, Morgan le Fey and Morgause. She also has a granddaughter, also Vivian, who marries Gawaine who I get a bit confused about. The two seem almost interchangable, and as I've never been able to get all of her books (The Three Damosels, King Arthur's Daughter, and The Green Knight) in exact chronological order with the rest, it continues to be a mystery. She uses a reasonably typical Arthurian frame, and may of her novelettes can be found in anthologies...(described other places). All the same, I don't know that there even is an exact chronology. Vivian's very good, and in these sorts of stories, the good guys do well, the bad guys perish, etc, which makes them fun, if a little unsophisticated.
