Niniane's Place in A Prince Among Men and A King Beneath the Mountain Niniane in A Prince Among Men and A King Beneath the Mountain by Robert N. Charrette
A Prince Among Men
In both A Prince Among Men and A King Beneath the Mountain Niniane goes by Nym.
Both of these books are cyber punk sorts of things. They're based on the raising of Arthur in the modern world. Although there is a third, Nym is only mentioned in it, so I'm pretty much ignoring that book. She appears, in the first one, as this very pretty, but quiet, woman who's hitch hiking her way somewhere. Yet, strangely, everyone who picks her up is shortly confronted with some severe problems. She finally makes it to a museum with an Arthurian exhibit and proceeds to raise King Arthur from the dead. She appears, off and on, as a helper for Arthur and eventually bears Arthur off to Avalon on a spaceship. The cover says that she's "A punk with real bad luck--or an elf with real bad attitude."
