This is one of those stories where Viviane/Margawse/Morgan le Fey are all the same character...this time named Viviane.  So, Viviane/Niniane gets to have a wild affair with King Arthur, plague him, etc.  She makes a great evil villain, and gets to be this marvelous tom boyish character, true to her original nature.  And, of course, she eventually gets Merlin too.  ; )
