Jay's song on the soundtrack is called "Slept So Long". It was written by KoRn's Jonathan Davis, who is the singing voice of Lestat in the film. Other appearances on the album: Static-X, Chester from Linkin Park, and Disturbed.

Linkin Park is putting together a remix album sometime soon and, according to Joseph Hann from Linkin Park (I think that's his name), Jay Gordon will be doing a remix that will be on the album.

Josh sent me an email saying that the current issue of Circus (with Staind on the cover)contains "a blurb on Jay Gordon in the news section. There's a quote or two from him about material for the new album. He mentions 2 or 3 track titles. There is also a pic of the band, but it is the same picture from the previous CIRCUS magazine (Mudvayne on the cover) that begins the article on ORGY."

Kati emailed me and shared those three titles Jay was talking about in that article: "White Lines", "Toys",and "Stuck".

Orgy Plug In
Orgy guitarist Ryan Shuck and guitarist/keyboardist Amir Derakh roamed the halls Saturday, checking out the latest games and scouting out the potential for doing a game soundtrack. "We're mass gamers," Shuck confessed between rounds of playing the upcoming Unreal Championship for Microsoft's Xbox. The band travels with a PlayStation hooked up in their bus. Much of their songwriting inspiration comes from games. "'Fiction (Dreams in Digital)' is all about Lara Croft style virtual girls," Shuck said. "They're taking over the world." The band hopes to join the ranks of artists who are composing songs specifically for games. Such a project is appealing, Shuck said, because it would let the band break out from the traditional album-oriented song structure. "With a game, you don't have to write a single," he enthused, "you can just write for hours."

Orgy are currenty writing new material for their forthcoming third Reprise/Warner Bros album. The band is expected to hit the studio in September with a soon to be determined producer. An early Spring 2002 release is expected.

My sexpot friend Joshi emailed me with the following. If anyone knows ANYTHING, please let me know ASAP.
I frequent a great movie database called IMDB, the Internet Movie Data Base. This site is great for actors and movies and directors etc. They give so many cast members. Anyway, just for the hell of it I typed in Jay Gordon. And a page of him came up. I know its him because they have his birthday and birthplace and a brief biography where they mention Orgy. According to this site he's in two movies!!! One of them is called Amongst Friends (1993) and the other one is David Fincher's The Game (1997)!!!!! I can't believe he's in THE GAME. I haven't seen it since the theater so I obviously can't remember. According to this site his credit in THE GAME is a character named "Triage Doctor" and in the other film he's "Billy's father".

I dont know how many of you knew or where in the Orgy chat that took place on GetMusic.com, but for those of you who weren't, I'm going to try to get a transcript of the hour-long session. When asked about being the "boyband of their genre", Ryan replied with "Maybe the Backstreet Boys on speed..." From the chat, the following was learned:
-Orgy is in this month's issue of Penthouse. There is an article and a new pic on the cover.
-Amir is still very sick with mono. They are playing four shows at the end of the month in Houston, Dallas, Oklahoma, and I forget where else.
-Bobby was woken up last nite by his wife giving him head at 3am =)
-Ryan is involved with a show called "Blue Torch" that will air on Fox Sports in about a month. It was described as "extreme music". He said they just go and hang out with bands and do what MTV is lacking. He suggested a paintball game between Orgy and Linkin Park.
-The guys cite Sugar Ray as the hardest partiers they know.
-Ryan WAS in The Forsaken.
-Ryan and Stephanie have broken up but they are still friends. They are going out to dinner and to see the movie "Blow" tomorrow nite for Ryan's birthday.
-Bobby's wife Shannon is no longer in the adult video industry. She quit about 4 years ago when they met.
-Paige and Bobby love the Coldplay album. Ryan likes the new Ogre album "Wealth".
-Ryan said that meeting Robert Smith of The Cure was "fuckin freaky".
-Ryan's favorite position is doggie style. Bobby's reply was "theres so many..." *I can't believe someone asked that..*
-The coolest/strangest gift they've received from a fan is a bunch of thongs with their pics on them.
-The boys will be going into the studio next month to start working on the new album.
-Ryan had a really deep quote about art. Something about art coming from a void and that people are artists because something's missing from their life.
-Bobby's drum set, when originally bought, cost roughly $4,000. Now it is worth roughly $15,000.
-Ryan hasn't been online in about a month because he simply gets too much email and doesn't have to respond to it all, even though he would like to.
