The Lodge held its annual charity ball to raise money for handicapped children in the community. Committee Chairman Richard Thomas and his committee did an outstanding job in preparing for the ball. A special thanks to the 85 Elks and guests who attended and enjoyed the prime rib dinner expertly prepared by Mike Maxwell. The guests were treated to the music of  Class Act and 4 lucky winners were treated to coupons for a Bahamas Vacation. The guest of honor was Brady Dupre, the area one state poster child, who was accompanied by her father, Richard Dupre, and her sister, Dawn Dupre. Brady was also chaperoned by John and Cathy Murray, Sponsors from the Asbury Lodge.  Brady was presented with a check for $500.00 from the Lodge along with a stuffed bunny that was about the same size as Brady!
