CURRENT EVENTS
Meeting May 22 7:30 P.M. Town Hall Phillipsburg 2nd floor

Remember meetings every month. Snack donations are not required, however they are
appreciated.
At this month's meeting, we'll be distributing raffle tickets for the Dick Schistler painting.
EQUIPMENT
Milford -- Status -- No Change
Equipment donated by Neal Setser includes locomotive tire, handtruck, remains of some
baggage trucks, hand car & misc. items.
The Centerville & Southwestern R.R. a miniature railroad built in the late 1930's is ours.
This railroad is complete with 1.2 miles of rail, working signals, turntable, 40-foot bridge,
(2) locomotives & passenger cars. Presently the railroad is in storage in Monmouth
County New Jersey and will have to be transported to Phillipsburg. The town of
Phillipsburg will hold title to the railroad. All Details are currently being worked out.
MISC.
We need a volunteer to be Chairman for the train show at the Firth Youth Center October 4.
Club Directors will assist.
Joe Frick appointed sergeant-at-arms.
Recently we were asked if we could help preserve a dual gauge traction and railroad
crossing that was uncovered in Trenton N.J. Member Bob Shandor supplied a truck for
the move back to Phillipsburg. "Thanks Bob"
The bus trip to Strasburg May 3rd was canceled due to lack of interest. We'll try again
in the fall.
Easton & Northern branch from Canal Museum to Bushkill Park, we're trying to bring it
back on line for a possible trolley line. John Willever is trying to get local officials to back
us and help to get federal money for this venture.
Your cooperation is requested, please refrain from making comments during our entertainment
portion of the meeting, sometimes it makes for a long evening. Thank you.
