JANUARY MEETING RECAP
IR BOXCAB: We got a roll of film from Paul Sivertson of Billings, Montana. The slides show the general location of the locomotive and its' condition. Paul is supposed to be getting estimates on moving the locomotive for us.
MERRITT PROPERTY: SMP Trucking of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, will be leasing the property with the intent of proceeding toward the purchase of same. If SMP does buy the property, it will only be the lower acres; the five acres we hope to use will be donated to the town. There is still hope for the upper twenty acres, stay tuned, things are looking good!
MINATURE RR REPORT: Wayne Deshler reported that Keith Muldowney has come up with at track plan that ties both the upper and lower parts of the park together. Work on equipment at the firehouse will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings, everyone is welcome, the former C&S RR is our #1 priority this spring!
FIREHOUSE REPORT: Rocky reported that the bathroom still needs some work. There will be a sign-in sheet to keep track of who's working and what's being done. The temperature is set for 50 degrees, if you turn it up when you come, be sure to lower it when you leave.
OLD BUSINESS: It is becoming more and more apparent that the 4666 "Doodlebug" isn't going anywhere, our offer to purchase same was never accepted.
NEW BUSINESS: PHILLIPSBURG RAILROAD HISTORIANS BANQUET, set for February 27th at FLYNNS, 341 Pursell Street in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. Jim Boyd will be providing the entertainment.
