Thanks go out to member Mitch Dakelman for providing the movies shown last month, great stuff! This month member Paul Carpenito with provide the entertainment, I believe it will be an ALCO show!
MEMBER NEWS
As reported at last month's member meeting, the building on the property is now ours to use. We have sold for scrap everything in it that was saleable. With the help of a forklift provided by Phillipsburg Bridge, we have removed the old ties behind the coalpockets. Next order of business is to grade the area and clear the debris. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! Things would move faster if we had more help! President Peter Terp together with Director Glenn Terminelli have purchased a drop deck trailer to move ties, rail, and our other equipment. We have already put it to use, moving scrap.
A letter to the membership is enclosed with this Newsletter .....
This past month a letter was received announcing the opening of a URHS work session hotline. The number is (201) 337-2068. We are members of the URHS, they too need help maintaining the equipment which will one day grace the New Jersey Transportation Museum. Anyone wishing to read the letter can do so at this month's meeting.
