This month's meeting will be held at 7:30 P.M. on November 19th, at the Phillipsburg Town Hall, in the basement. Entertainment will be assorted videos, including early PRRH work parties.
From October 20th until November 8th, we have donated 107 work hours to our museum. This does not include office time or home projects, which we will be tracking. Thank You Baer Aggregates, Inc. for donating 88.5 tons of 1 1.2" crushed stone, which was trucked by the Town of Phillipsburg (Thank you Mayor). Glenn Terminelli supervised the spreading and operated the grader to give us a fine roadbed base for track laying. Ken Miller, Ann Jennings and Jim Anderson laid out ties in the rain!! We will do a large work party on November 22nd and 23rd. Hope to have some experienced tracklayers as well as any strong backs we can muster (Please Help). We will also be doing a work party Friday November 28th, 9am till ??. We need to get this project done so as to move full size equipment.
The C&S station has been moved up to the museum site (Jim Anderson alone). Alan Bellis has winterized the 1503. We have picked up 100 feet of C&S track to allow for standard gauge track laying. In the spring the C&S track will be re-laid on the south side of the museum building. Volunteers working on museum projects - J. Anderson, E. Beers, R. Glosser, R. Kirkpatrick, J. Mack, C. Bowlby, P. Terp, A. Jennings, K. Miller, G. Terminelli, R. Rockafellow.
Thanks to Russ Border of Borders Garage in Easton for the donation of 200 gallons of fuel oil for use at the firehouse. Also Frank Hamlin for donating a fuel tank for the museum building.
Work parties will as needed. Please get on Jim Anderson's call list. We have several C&S box cars that need rehabilitating. This can be done at the firehouse if you do not have a workshop, see Alan Bellis.
1998 Dues are due. Please renew ASAP, as we need the funds.
Jersey Central Chapter is in need of manpower for their Santa Trains on December 6th. This is a long but very rewarding day, see Pete Terp if you would like to help.
