This month's meeting will be held as usual at 7:30 P.M. on August 26th at Phillipsburg Town Hall in the basement. Entertainment to be announced.
August has brought progress once again on track work, Glenn Terminelli has fine tuned the #1 switch and Ken Miller has started on the #2 switch. Mayor Corcoran arranged for the donation of another 80 tons of stone which will cover our current track extensions. Glenn Terminelli with the road grader has spread the stone and it is ready for ties and rail.
A work party on 8/10 removed the signal cabinet and battery box from the Northampton Street crossing on the E&N. Rocky Rockafellow has plans to install this box with an appropriate signal on top in front of our museum building.
A work party on 8/15 started to clear the site for our engine house of surplus C&S track. Weeds will be cut and the C&S Sea Box (Engine House) will be relocated to the East.
Along with large projects we have many small projects which can be done on ones own time, especially carpenter type work.

Jersey Central Chapter has announced a rare mileage trip on the R&N Lehigh Gorge trackage out of Jim Thorpe on October 3. Power is expected to be R&N's SD-45s in fresh R&N paint. This is an all day trip of limited capacity. Price of tickets are $35.00 each, see Pete at the meeting for details.
