~Mutiny~
My lips- cracked like an egg
red yolk dripping down my chin
My fatty eye thumps to the beat of my heart
racing- pushing fiery fear through my veins
broken mirror
spilt milk
walk under a ladder
open an umbrella inside
My list grows long
still no reason
My mind- murky
stagnant as a mudpuddle on a hot summer day
~My first Valentine~
When I was little
I wondered why I was here
I would search the skies
listen to long limbs in the wind
lie in soft beds of grass
Never got an answer
aAs I grew older, I continued my search
looked in eyes
listened to souls
waited
rode ups and downs
hearts broken, tears shed
all the time still searching
That day, I turned around
my eyes flooded
my heart jumped
I have found...
my other
my mirror, my soul searcher, my stargazer
~Your Eyes~
Your eyes
like fireflies in the night
luminous enemies
that invade my fortress
Your stare
made up of tiny soldiers
that climb
to my bosom and invade my heart
~New Vision~
Today i saw myself
i stripped my body of 8 years
layers of bruised ego and held breaths
clumps of flesh, bumpy hills, dough thighs
brownie dimples, gumdrop boils, flapjack inches
Today i looked in the mirror
i saw a map- purple lines down my abdomen
leaving my empty chest, heading down south
huge veins winding like rushing rivers
around sink holes that used to be muscles
Today i cried
i cried for every fat girl
i cried for the skinny girl, 8 years past
~All in a Day~
phone rings
cat screams
door knocks
he locks
lights out
screen shouts
floor creaks
skin shrieks
clock ticks
finger sticks
day ends
night blends
