Missed chances and raised hopes. This week all the top teams were losing points, they gave hopes to the teams like Sivas, Hacılar, İstanbul and Elazığ. Hacılar Erciyes beat Konyaspor in the first game of the week on Saturday. A red card shown to one of the Konya players early in the game helped their win. It looks like this young team didn't give up yet. Why should they: They are only 6 points away from the top. Thanks to all the top teams' losses this week-end. Their win meant alot of for the other teams trying to promote. For Konya, they lost a big advantage in a week when Göztepe lost three points and Altay and Diyarbakır 2. According to my friend Mark Willoughby, the ref was terrible in this game was somehow taking his decisions always against Konya. Sivasspor won in Antakya beating Hatay 2-1. If they can only play as well at home.... Their away record 2 wins 2 ties - home record 1 win 2 ties 1 loss. It looks like Hatay is waiving the white flag just before the end of first half of the league. They got stuck to the bottom of the table with 1 point in 8 games. Göztepe couldn't repeat the Diyarbakır story in İstanbul. They lost the chance to go the top after Konya faltered a day ago. İstanbul Büyükşehir got a deserved win. 1-0 İstanbul. Elazığ beat Şeker in another game. This should boost their morale a little bit, after getting several bad results ın a row. Eyüp was the only scorer in the game. 1-0 The game of the week was in İzmir. Altay was hosting Diyarbakır. Diyarbakır scored early in the game at 8th minute, but Altay even the score a quarter later. Both teams tried to turn the score to their advantage in the second half, but there was no finishing touch by the players. Diyarbakır was even awarded a penalty-kick, but Altay goalkeeper Nihat was not to be denied. Altay could have tied the co-leaders Konya and Göztepe with a win, instead they let Diyarbakır do the honour. The Team of the week: Diyarbakırspor Next week: Games------------------------------------------ Forecasts Diyarbakır (3) - İstanbul Büyükşehir B (6) 36%-37%-27% Şeker (9) - Hatay (10) 36%-37%-27% Sivas (5) - Hacılar (7) 36%-37%-27% Göztepe (2) - Elazığ (8) 40%-35%-25% Konyaspor (1) - Altay (4) 41%-35%-24%

Both the leader and the bottom team changed in this group. Gaziantep BB beat Çanakkale 3-1 on Saturday to claim the top spot and Karabük beat Kartal to get out of the relegation spot. Sakaryaspor is coming very strong after losing to Karabük at home. They beat Bakırköy 2-0 this week and is only three points away from top spot. The Team of the week: Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediye Next week: Bakırköy (8) - Çanakkale Dardanel (2) Kartal (4) - Sakarya (3) Mersin İdman Yurdu (5) - Karabük (7) Gaziantep BB (1) - Sarıyer (6)

The leader Aydın beat Karşıyaka in İzmir and leading the group with 8 points margin. My favourite team won again, this time in Turgutlu and now at second place comfortably with five points margin over Karşıyaka. Go İzmirspor, go. Something must have happened to the Stage 1's flash team Isparta. They played 6 games for the second stage - 1 tie, 5 loss. This time they lost to Salihli. Salihli's win combined with Turgutlu's loss means, it İs Turgutlu at the bottom, not Salihli Eskişehir and nazilli were both silent at Eskişehir. The Team of the week: Aydınspor Next week: İzmirspor (2) - Bucaspor (7) Nazilli (5) - Turgutlu (9) Isparta (4) - Eskişehir (6) Aydın (1) - Salihli (8) Karşıyaka (3) bye
C3
Did somebody wake Kayseri up? After getting disastrous results in the league recently, they went to İstanbul and beat Özsahrayıcedidspor 4-0 there. They are still five points behind second spot though. It was business as usual for Mobella and Ankaraspor, who won their home games. Ankaraspor had to work more to beat Çorlu 2-1. Mobella's win was easy. 4-2 over Güngören. Kırklarelispor was the other winner who beat a very good team, Gaziosmanpaşa. The Team of the week: Kayserispor Next week: Gaziosmanpaşa (4) - Çorluspor (7) Güngören (5) - Kırklarelispor (8) Kayseri (3) - Mobella (1) BB Ankaraspor (2) - Üsküdar Özsahrayıcedid (6)
C4
Gümüşhane showed a stop sign to the leader Akçaabat Sebatspor this week. They were running away from the other teams, but Gümüşhane didn't like to be left behind. Other championship candidate Türk Telekom, who?, lost at Düzce. Artvin beat Bolu and Darica and Amasya shared the points. The Team of the week: Gümüşhane Doğanspor Next week: Alçaabat (1) - Amasya (5) Bolu (6) - Gümüşhane (2) Türk Telekom (4) - Hopa (3) Darıca (7) Düzce (8)

Kırıkkale, Şanlıurfa, and Van showed their Southern hospitality to their visitors, sending them home with three points each. But, wait a minute! Kırıkkale is not a southern team! Well, they were very hospitable as much. These results will leave Batman and Malatya all along for the top two spots. Cizre's win by default put them to the third, but they are eight points away. The Team of the week: Batman Petrolspor Next week: Cizrespor (3) - Malatyaspor (2) Batman Petrolspor (1) - Şaanlıurfaspor (5) Vanspor (6) - Kırıkkalespor (4) Ağrı (7) W/O ASAŞ (withdrew)
