21 goals in 5 games. 4.2 goal average. Not bad, eh? When the first half of the Play-off league ends this week, the top four favourites are at the top four spot. However, probably the best of them, Altay, are at fourth. The week started with a surprise tie at Diyarbakır. İstanbul BB got a tie from a heavily favoured Diyarbakır. This was a second consecutive bad home result for Diyarbakır after Göztepe loss. Still they went to top with an extra game, but quickly went the third next day İstanbul is also trying to make the first five for another shot at 1.League. The second game of the week was in İzmir. Göztepe was looking to go to the top, if Altay could get a point from Konya. They still went to the top, but on their own. After conceding a goal early to Elazığ, they came back strong, very very strong and scored seven goals. 7-1 win was enough to put them to top on a goal avarage. Even though the score was terrible, Elazığ didn't play that bad. It was just Göztepe's day. Another flash score came from Sivas. Last week I was complaining that Sivas was not playing well at home. As if they were proving me wrong, they scored very early at 4th minute to go ahead 1-0, but Hacılar came back back, back, back, back, back and scored 6 goals. Another bad home game for Sivas, after all. Hacılar got to the fifth spot with this win and the game helped their goal average well enough. The game of the week was in Konya. Konyaspor was playing unbeaten Altay. But, Konya also had a perfect home record, so far. Konya went ahead at 13th and saved the score during the rest of the game. Altay missed unbelievable chances. They are not unbeaten team anymore at the end. Konya still has perfect record. The last game was between the two bottom teams Şeker and Hatayspor. It was a well fought game and Şeker used their home field advantage to win it 1-0. Hatay completed the first half of the schedule with only 1 point in 9 games, even though they are not that terrible. Second week in a row both the leader and the bottom team changed in this group. Gaziantep BB gave the top spot back after losing to Sarıyer 2-1 at home. Bakırköy got out of the hot spot with a 2-2 home tie against the new leader Çanakkale. Tie at Kartal didn't help either team much. Kartal could tie Sakarya with a win, Sakarya could catch Gaziantep with a win. Not this week. Mersin beat Karabük, pushing them to the bottom and securing themselves alittle bit more. The Team of the week: Sarıyer Next week: Karabük (8) - Sarıyer (6) Sakarya (3) - Mersin İY (5) Çanakkale (1) - Kartal (4) Bakırköy (7) - Gaziantep (2)

Aydınspor got a routine win over Salihlispor and İzmirspor beat Bucaspor in İzmir derby. Ispartaspor finally won a game and got back to third spot. Turgutluspor won in Nazilli and got out of the bottom spot, pushing Salihli there. In their fight against each other they also caught up with Bucaspor. Eskişehir is not totally out of danger yet. The Team of the week: Yeni Turgutluspor Next week: Salihli (9) - Karşıyaka (4) Eskişehir (6) - Aydın (1) Turgutlu (8) - Isparta (3) Buca (7) - Nazilli (5) İzmir (2) bye

Kayserispor got a good result two weeks in a row. They beat the leader Mobella and toppled thrm over the top spot. Even though Ankaraspor got to the spot, they may be sorry about the two points they lost at home with a tie versus Özsahrayıcedidspor. Özsahrayıcedidspor was successful at Ankara, but still got to the relegation region since the two bottom teams of the league were winners in İstanbul. Gaziosmanpaşa and Güngören belediye were very kind to their visitors, giving them much needed wins and three points. The Team of the week: Çorluspor Next week: Mobella (2) - Özsahrayıcedid (6) Kırklareli (8) - Kayseri (3) Çorlu (7) - Güngören (5) Gaziosmanpaşa (4) - Ankaraspor (1)

Akçaabat won easily at home against Amasyaspor and saw their margin at the top increased to four points when Gümüşhane lost in Bolu. Darıca's win of the bottom teams against Düzce also gave good news to other teams afraid of relegation. This was another 3-0 loss for Düzce to its neighbours. The other game was a tie between Türk Telekom and Hopa. The Team of the week: Boluspor Next week: Hopa (3) - Düzce (8) Gümüşhane (2) - Türk Telekom (4) Amasya (6) - Bolu (5) Akçaabat (1) - Darıca (7)

Second week in a row, all away wins in this group. This time Cizre, Batman, and Van were the hospitable teams. But that was not good for Batman, since they lost the lead to Malatya. As in the Turkish saying "Let the visitors eat what they find, not what they expect." The Team of the week: Şanlıurfaspor Next week: Şanlıurfa (5) - Kırıkkale (3) Malatya (1) - Ağrı (6) Cizre (4) - Van (7) Batman (2) W/O ASAŞ (withdrew)
