Group 1 Oct 21 Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediye 2-1 Dardanelspor Kamil Ocak Stadyumu Mersin İdmanyurdu 1-3 İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediye Tevfik Sırrı Gür Stadyumu Kartalspor 0-0 Bakırköyspor Kartal Stadyumu Sakaryaspor 2-1 KDÇ Karabükspor Atatürk Stadyumu Sarıyer 1-2 Kombassan Konyaspor Ali Sami Yen Stadyumu Todays' game comes from the Ali Sami Yen stadium,home of the mighty Galatasaray,in a fixture that I always like to see.The first chance went to Sarıyer in the 1', they had a tame shot easyily saved by Cenk in the Konya goal.Konya's 1st shot came in the 4' by Fatih Sezer but was well wide.A break by Sariyer in th 7' resulted in a corner which when taken was caught easily by Cenk.Konyaspor took the lead in the 9' when a header by Ercüment found Serdar who ran and turned a defender in and out and shot with the outside of his boot which easily beat Yusuf in the Sariyer goal from 25 yards.Konya then won a corner in the 12' which they wasted,but the next minute ,Konya had a shot by Yunus which was well saved by Yusuf.In the 14' a dangerous cross by Serdar for Konya was well cleared by Fevzi Açıkgöz. The next minute in another Konya attack,Cahit decided to try his luck,but the shot was high and wide.In the 23',Yusuf was called upon to make another save from Ercüment in this new Konya attack.On the 24' Sarıyer got a corner but when it was taken by Ender it was wasted. In the next minute,Konya attacked again and when the ross came in,Yusuf again had to make a good save from Yunus.Sarıyer won a free kick in the 27' but when the shot came in from Mehmet from 30 yards,it was wide.In the next minute on another Konya attack,Serdar picked up a loose ball and beat the goalkeeper but the shot went inches wide.Sarıyer equalised in the 29' when got to a pass to his team mate and took the ball virtually of his feet and turned and shot past Cenk to make it 1-1.In the 30' on a Konya attack,a shot by Fatih bought a marvellous save by Yusuf.In the 35' ,Nail passed to Korhan who shot straight at Cenk in the Konya goal.In the 39' a cross by Mehmet from the left found Nail with a clear header but directed it to Cenk for a easy catch.The last chance in the first half came a minute later when a fierce shot by Ercüment for Konya was saved again by Yusuf. Into the second half and the first chance went to Cahit for Konya in the 46' when his shot made Yusuf make a very good reflex save from 30 yards.In the 48',Nail broke for Sarıyer and when he shot he made Cenk make a brilliant save.A minute later,Sarıyer attacked again and the final shot by Salih was diapointting as it was way too high.On 53' a cross came in by Birol for Konya and was met by a volley by Serdar which went to the goalkeeper.A minute later,Konya won a free kick on the edge of the Sarıyer penalty area and the free kick by Birol was saved at the second attempt by Yusuf.In the 64',Konya got another free kick,and it was taken by Birol and it reached Emre in the area and his shot was deflected for a corner.In the next minute Konya got another free kick,but this time it was taken by Serdar but it hit the wall and was cleared. In the 71',Konya had a golden chance but the final shot by Bülent was very disapointting as it sailed over the crossbar.In the 80' in a Sarıyer attack,Mehmet had a shot saved by Cenk from a pass by Haydar.In the 85',Serdar scored his and Konya's second goal when he got the long losse ball with not a defender in sight and sidestepped Yusuf to put the ball into the empty net.In the 88',Serdar had a golden chance for his hat trick,but he shot at the goalkeeper.In the next minute when Birol took a free kick from the edge of Sarıyer's he found Yunus in an offside position.In the final minute of the game and the last chance,Serdar beat the goalkeeper only to see his shot cleared off the line by substitute Seyfullah. To sum up, a moderate game played in front of a very disapointting crowd of about 70 in the vast Ali Sami Yen stadium. MVP of the game: MVP honour of the game this week goes to Salih Karalar from Sarıyer,who had a very good game in midfield and took his goal very well. Club president have sent the withdrawal letter to TFF. However, TFF didn't accept the letter. According to some TFF rules(!), only the club administration can withdraw the team, not the president. Because of this rule, one group plays with 11, one with 9, and three with 10 teams. TFF Penalties: 1. ASAŞ SK Ankara was penalized with -3 points after forfeiting the first game.
