Turkey is playing the First round eliminations for the 2000-2001 U-16 European Championship. Turkey is in group 9 with Ukraine and Malta. The games will be played as a mini-league tournament in Turkey. All other UEFA countries are playing the qualification round in 15 groups. The group finalists qualify to the finals.
