U19 2001 European U-18 Championship - Qualifiers
Turkey is playing the First round eliminations for the 2000-2001 U-18 European Championship this week-end. Turkey is in group 4 with Israel, Albania, and san Marino. The games will be played as a mini-league tournament in Antalya and surrounding cities. Currently the players were limited with the August 1st date. This date is moved to January 1st. Since the finals of the next tournament will be held in may 2002, the players with a birthdate between Jan 1st and May will be one year older. That's why UEFA is changing the name also to U-19 for the 2001-2002 tournament. Norway will be host in that tournament and Turkey will be in G1 with Sweden and Germany.
