The Format UEFA started testing "away goal" rule as an alternative tie-breaker. They used it for the R2 of this competition for the first time. The teams played two games at home and away. The aggregate score(score in the middle) defined the winner. Tie-breaker rule: 1 - A third game at a third country. 2 - Coin toss. Final was played as one game play-off in a pre-determined city. No seeding done.
