1997-1998 Turkish 3.League
THE STATUS OF THE 3.LEAGUE
The 3.Lig will be played at two stages.
Stage One
169 teams play league games in eight groups.
The winners are promoted to the 2.Lig.
The second place teams qualify to the Second Stage.
The last two teams in each group are relegated to the Amateur Leagues.
Stage Two
The Second Stage is played as cup style.
One team will also be promoted to the 2.Lig from this stage.
