Easy

Easy and I, at our first show, 1997

After I found out that D.J. had ringbone and could no longer jump, I needed a horses that I could ride English and jump with. Easy fit the bill perfectly. Standing around 16.3 hands tall, she definately had the height to jump. Her owner, Gloria, was an eccentric older woman who couldn't get to the farm to ride as often as she once could. I kept Easy in shape, and Easy became a wonderful partner. The most fun I had with her was trailriding. I almost always rode her bareback when we trailrode. My friends and I had numerous logs set up in the trails for jumping, and Easy never hesitated to clear any of them. Around May of 1997, Easy took me to my first show (it was her first show too). We didn't place, but I wasn't expecting to. I still had lots of fun!

When my old farm relocated, Easy was moved to a new stable. That's when Gloria discovered she had cancer. Gloria passed away in 1998, and the last I heard, Easy now belongs to the owner of the stable she was moved to.
