The Farm

I used to board my horses at a farm in south Jersey. Donna, the woman who owned it, had a few horses that she used to let me ride. Done Gone Gold (Dunny) is a flaxen chestnut frame overo gelding. He's not incredibly tall, standing at about 16 hands, but he has a ton of muscle mass. Donna uses him for barrel racing, and I used to get to exercise him for her. Let me tell you, this horse is incredible!

HMB Quick (Quick) is Donna's other barrel horse. She is a chestnut QH gelding, about 14.3 hands high. What he lacks in size, he makes up for in muscle, speed, and agility. I have never in my life seen a horse that can run and turn like this one. He used to be on the racetrack, so he is very sensitive to everything. This means that you always have to pay attention when you're around him, but he is definately an awesome guy!

Ladybug is Donna's bay QH mare. She's on the tiny side, roughly 14.2 hands, but she is a sweet girl. She has a pretty head, and gorgeous movement. Personally, I think she would make a lovely hunter. She's only 5 or 6, and still green broke, but she's honest and easy to work with

Finally, Donna also has a tiny little flaxen chestnut pinto pony. Quite honestly, I'm not sure what his name is, everyone just calls him *pony*. He's trained to drive (he looks absolutely adorable pulling the pony cart) and Donna's sons ride him.

That's about it for now...
