Teacher J. R.
The above picture was taken in the summer of '98.
Teacher J.R. (J.R.) was my other horse. He is a 12 year old Thoroughbred gelding, who stands at about 15.2 hands. J.R. was a racehorse when he was younger, but ended up becoming a showhorse. I bought him in May of '98, so I could have a horse to use for jumping and showing. I didn't get to show him as much as I had planned, but we did well in the shows we got to go to. J.R. is a great horse, he's very friendly and curious; in fact, sometimes I think he acts more like a puppy. Unfortunately, I needed to get my own vehicle, and in order to insure it, I had to sell a horse. So, a few weeks ago, J.R. moved to his new home with a wonderful family. Even though I miss him, I know he will be loved and taken care of.
