Seven Angels With Trumpets

2. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and there were given to them seven trumpets. 3. And another angel came and stood before the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given to him much incense, that he might offer it with prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which is before the throne. 4.And with the prayers of the saints there went up before God from the angel's hand the smoke of the incense. 5. And the angel took the censer and filled it with the fire of the altar and threw it down upon the earth, and there were peals of thunder, rumblings, and flashes of lightning and an earthquake. 6. And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound the trumpet.

7. And the first angel sounded the trumpet and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and it was cast upon earth; and the third part of he earth was burnt up, and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

8. And the second angel sounded the trumpet, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea; and the third part of the sea became blood, 9 and there died the third part of those creature s that have life in the sea, and the third part of the ships was destroyed.

10. And the third angel sounded the trumpet, and there fell from heaven a great star, burning like a torch, and it fell upon the hitrd part of the rivers and upon the fountains of waters. 11. The name of the star is called Wormwood. And the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many people died of the waters because they were made bitter

12. And the fourth angel sounded the trumpet, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars, that the third part of them might be darkened, and the day for the third part of it might not shine, and the night likewise.

13. And I beheld and I heard the voice of an eagle flying in midheaven, saying with a loud voice, "Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth!" because of the rest of the trumpet-voices of the three angels who were about to sound the trumpet.

And the fifth angel sounded the trumpet, and I saw that a star had fallen from heaven upon the earth, and there was given to him the key of the bottomless pit. 2. And he opened the bottomless pit, and there came up a smoke out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit. 3. And out of the smoke there came forth locusts upon the earth. And there was given to them power, as he scorpions of the earth have power. 4. And they were told not to hurt the gress of the earth or any green thing or any tree; but only the men who do not have God's seal upon their foreheads. 5. And They were not permitted to kill anyone, but to torture them for five months; and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man.

6. And in those days men will seek death and will not find it; and they will long to die and death will flee from them. 7.And in appearance the locusts were like horses made ready for battle; and there were on their heads crowns as it were like gold; and their faces were like the faces of men. 8.And they had hair like hair of woman; and their teeth were like the teeth of lions. 9. And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was like the sound of many horse-chariots running to battle. 10. And they had tails like those od scorpions and there were stings in their tails; and they had power to harm mankind for five months. 11. And they had over them a king, the angel of the abyss; his name in hebrew is Abaddon, and in the Greek Apollyon; in Latin he has the name Exterminans

12. The first woe is past; behold, two woes are yet to come hereafter

And the sixth angel sounded the trumpet, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14. saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Loose the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates." 15. And the four angels were loosed who had been kept ready for the hour and day and month and year, that they might kill the third part of mankind. 16. And the number of the army of horsemen was twenty thousand times ten thousand. I heard the number of them.

17. And this is how I saw the horses in the vision: they who sat upon them had breast plates like to fire and to hyacinth and to sulphur, and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and from their mouths issued fire and smoke and sulphur. 18. By these three plagues the third part of mankind was killed, by the fire and the smoke and the sulphur which issued from their mouth. 19. For the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails. For their tails are like serpents, and have heads, and with them they do harm.

20.And the rest of mankind, they who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands so as not to worship the demons and the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. 21. And they did not repent of their murders and of their sorceries or of their immortality or of their thefts.

And the seventh angel sounded the trumpet; and there were loud voices in heaven saying, "The kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of our Lord and his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever." And the twenty-four elders who sit upon their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshipped God saying, "We give thee thanks, O Lord God almighty, who art, and who wast, because thou hast taken thy great power and hast begun thy reign. And the nations were angered, but thy wrath came and the time for all dead to be judged, and for giving the reward to thy servants--the prophets, and the saints, and those who fear thy name, the small and the great--and for destroying those who corrupted the earth". And the temple of God in heaven was opened, and there was seen the ark of his covenant in his temple, and there came flashes of lightning, and peals of thunder, and earthquakes, and great hail.
