Kari smiled. "Nope we like, did that before!"
I shook my head. "You two make me sick."
"Why? We're just trying to make up for lost time," Brian said, pulling Kari closer to him as we sat in the green room of an arena in New York before the guys had to go on stage. "Right sweetheart?"
"Yeah baby."
I rolled my eyes. "Where's Nick, I'm hungry."
"He's in wardrobe," Brian replied. "What do you want, I'll get it."
I thought about it. "Um...I want a peanut butter and pickle sandwich."
Brian made a face. "That's disgusting."
"What do you want, I'm pregnant. Now go get it."
Brian gave Kari a kiss before he stood up. "Baby, you're never getting pregnant."
"Why not, I want a baby."
"Because I don't want you eating everything in sight like Amy. I'll be right back."
As Brian walked away, Nick came in the room. "Hey Amy." He sat down next to me and gave me a kiss. "Where'd Brian go?"
"To get me a peanut butter and pickle sandwich."
"That's disgusting."
I grinned. "Brian said the same thing."
"What would you say if we took you girls out for dinner after the show?"
"Okay," Kari replied. "Is Nicole going?"
"Yeah, you can't pull her and Kevin apart."
"That's so cute!" Kari said.
"If they're anything like you and Brian, no it's not," I said.
"Amy!" Brian came running back in the room. "We didn't have any peanut butter, all I could find was pickles."
"Okay." I grabbed the jar out of his hands, opened it, and began to eat hungrily.
"Jeez Amy, never seen food before?" Nick asked, laughing.
I rolled my eyes. "Shut up."
"Come on Nick, we gotta get going. We'll see you girls soon!" Brian and Nick ran out of the green room.
Kari reached for the jar. "Can I have one?"
I smacked her hand away. "No! They're mine!"
"Fine. You wanna like, watch the show from the side of the stage?"
"Okay." I put down the jar and we walked to the side of the stage. The guys had just finished "That's The Way I Like It" and were going into "Hey Mr. DJ".
"If I see one sign that says death to Backstreet's girlfriends I swear to God..." I muttered as I scanned the crowd. The girls were swaying to the music and screaming, some even crying. I saw one sign that said 'Congrats Nick and Amy!' so I guess that the news of my pregnancy had gotten around.
"See any bad ones?" Kari asked.
"Nope. That's good, I guess."
"Of course it's good. At least we know people still don't want to kill us."
"Hey guys!" We turned around and saw Nicole coming towards us.
"Hey Nicole!" we said in unison.
"Can you see really well from here?" Nicole asked.
"Oh yeah, but we're not really paying attention to that. We've seen enough concerts, believe me," I replied. "We're looking at the signs the girls are holding up.
"Oh." Nicole pointed to a sign that said 'I Want 2 B Kevin's Heaven'. "Sorry sweetheart, that position is already filled."
Kari giggled. "She's good at this."
Kari, Nicole, and I made fun of more girls until it was time for the guys' solos. Howie's was first, so the three of us sat with the rest of the guys in the green room.
"So Nicole, how do you like the show so far?" Kevin asked.
"The show? Oh, it's good I guess."
"You guess? Were you even paying attention?"
"Um, no," Nicole admitted. "Amy, Kari, and I were laughing at the corny signs some of the girls were holding up."
"Not you too," Nick groaned. "Kari and Amy do it every show."
"Well what do you want us to do?" I asked. "If you've seen one Backstreet Boys concert, you've seen them all! Besides, it's fun!"
"It is!" Kari said. "You guys should try it."
"Oh yeah Kar, we'll stand on stage and make fun of all the people in the audience. In fact, that'll make us more fans!" Brian said sarcastically.
Howie came running in. "AJ, you're up."
AJ ran off. "Come on guys, you wanna try it?" I asked.
"Alright," the guys said in unison.
We walked to the side of the stage. "See," I pointed out into the audience. "Just look for signs that say stupid stuff."
Brian laughed. "I just saw one that says 'Lay Me Down Bone!'"
"And there's one that says 'Kevin Put Your Train In My Tunnel'," Kevin added. "Wait a minute..."
"Please honey, the only tunnel Kevin is going through is the Heaven Tunnel and don't you forget it," Nicole declared.
Kevin laughed. "I gotta go get ready." He gave Nicole a kiss. "Wish me luck."
"Bye baby." Kevin ran off and AJ came to join us.
"What are you guys doing?" AJ asked.
"We're making fun of some of the signs the girls are holding up," Howie explained.
AJ smiled. "Oh cool. 'Howie is my Latin Luva'. Oh really Howie, you goin for younger women now?"
"Oh yeah, I love those 12 year olds," Howie replied with a smile.
"Okay this is getting boring," I said, yawning.
"Yeah, I'm leaving." Brian turned and left along with Howie, AJ, and Nicole.
"Are you gonna watch the show?" I asked Kari.
"Yeah, I don't think I ever saw a full Backstreet Boys concert on this tour. Especially because we missed the show we were supposed to go to!"
"You mean you'd rather have gone to that concert instead of all the things that have been happening now?"
Kari shook her head as Brian walked out onto the stage and the girls started screaming. "I'd much rather have what we have now. So like, thanks for forgetting the tickets."
"No problem." We stood in silence and watched Brian sing. After he was done, Nick came out. The arena erupted in one loud screech of sound.
"Hey guys, how are you all doin tonight?" Nick asked. More screaming. "That's good! I want to dedicate this song to my girlfriend. Amy, I love you baby!"
The opening notes to "I Need You Tonight" started to play and Nick began to sing.
"That's so sweet," Kari said softly. I didn't really hear, I was in my own little world.
After the song was over, I broke out of my trance. All the guys were onstage now and singing "Let's Have A Party".
"I hate this song. C'mon Kari, let's go. I'm hungry."
"Hungry." Kari whined. "Amy, you're always hungry."
"I know, and you can get me something to eat. I want fried chicken and strawberry sauce."
Kari rolled her eyes. "Hell no." She walked away quickly so she wouldn't have to get it.
"Oh come on Kari, I want some chicken! Kari! Kari?"
