I nodded. "She's going to be okay."
Brian smiled at me before going into the room. "Thanks Amy."
"Don't mention it."
"So what really happened in there?" AJ asked as we walked back towards the living room. "We heard glass shatter and a lot of crying."
"That's not of your business AJ," I answered sharply. "If you want to know what happened, ask Kari yourself."
"But I don't want to!" AJ whined.
I shrugged. "Then tough. I sat down on the couch. "Nick-"
"No, I'm not getting you any more food," Nick said grumpily. "If you want it, you can get it yourself."
"Calm down, I was only gonna ask you if you can drive me to my doctor the day after tomorrow."
"Where's his office?" Nick asked.
"Um, Florida?"
"What? Amy, we're in Canada right now, how do you expect us to get down to get to Florida from here in two days?"
"I don't know?"
Nick sighed. "You are so lucky that we don't have anything scheduled for this week."
I smiled. "Thank you Nick. So how are we getting there?"
"A plane, how else? There's no way I'm driving down there. You go pack some things, I'll call a travel agency."
"Alright." I got up and walked down the hallway to the bunk room. I paused by the door to see if Kari and Brian where still in the room. They were.
"Brian, I want to say I'm sorry," Kari said softly. The door was open a tiny crack, and I could see that she and Brian were picking up the bottle that had shattered.
"What for Kar?"
"For embarrassing you. I know it won't be good for your reputation if it gets around that I'm an alcoholic."
"You're not an alcoholic," Brian said firmly. "Sometimes you have one too many drinks, that's all."
"Brian-" Kari began.
"No, don't even say it. You don't have a problem, it's the guys that have the problem. I figured they'd be jealous 'cause they can't have you. Especially AJ." Brian gave Kari a kiss. "I have to go, I'll see you later."
As Brian approached the door, I ran down the hallway to make it seem like I was just coming. "Oh, hi Brian."
"Hi Amy. Listen, do you think Kari has a problem?"
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Do you think she has a drinking problem?"
"Yes. She can't stop herself Brian, that's a problem," I answered softly.
"What's with everybody? She does not have a problem!" Brian walked away angrily.
I shook my head and walked into the room. "Hi Kari. I just wanted to tell you that Nick and I are going back to Florida for a few days."
Kari looked at me from her bed. "Why?"
"I have a doctor's appointment to make sure everything's going okay. Nick wants me to get a sonogram to see what sex is baby is."
"I hope it a girl," Kari said wistfully. "Then you could like, name her Kari."
I rolled my eyes. "Don't count on it." I pulled my suitcase out from underneath the bed and started throwing some clothes in it. "I'll have to find some maternity clothes soon, that'll be fun."
"We can go shopping for them when you get back. You'd better not go without me," Kari warned.
I smiled as I shut my suitcase. "You know I never go anywhere without you. I'd better go find Nick and see what's going on. Bye Kar."
I walked out of the room and into the guys' bunk room. Nick was busy packing his suitcase. "Hey Amy. Are you ready to go?"
"We're leaving now?"
"Yeah, the flight's at five, it was either that or tomorrow at nine in the morning."
"Okay, I'll go get my suitcase." I ran back out of the room and into mine. "We're leaving now, so I'll see you later Kari!" I grabbed the suitcase and ran out of the room before Kari could even open her mouth.
"Bye guys!" I called as Nick and I walked out of the tour bus. That was one place I wasn't going to miss.
"Bye!" Everyone waved as Nick and I got into a cab and headed towards the airport.
