At devil’s door The kiss of death Clouded thought Short of breath
Hands that shake Palms that sweat Roll the dice Lose the bet
Butterflies in stomach Anticipate Anxiety, tension Fear of fate
Tingling sensation Shiver and shake Emotional deluge Peace at stake
Arriving swiftly Like a wall Plunging deeply Feel the fall
Hit the bottom Feel the pain Paranoia? Or just insane?
The storm is over All is well No cause for alarm As I can tell
Once again The cycle complete Once again The cycle repeats
