Lines

If I was quick to offer poetic acclamations
Then nothing I'd say would be special
Their validity and worth would fade
So by my shyness and restraint
The words I speak in praise have a greater value

Those who constantly speak sweetly
Loose their sweetness in time
And their intents may be sour
The heart's not behind their words
And when it is, all the words are gone

Don't cry 'wolf' falsely
Or no one will listen when it's truth
Don't use lines on everyone you meet
For when you you truly have something to say
No one will mark you
