Sunrise

The Heavens cry
In the night sky
Oh, woe to be me!

In the grip of fear
I shed a tear
Oh! When will I be free?

The storm clears
And dawn nears
I long to see the light

The Sunrise
Before my eyes
Shining on me bright

The dawn brakes
My heart aches
Crumble all away

My body thrives
I’m alive
Yet another day

The azure sky
Fills my eyes
With electric blue

I drink it in
The liquid wind
And taste the morning dew

The cool, fresh air
Blows through my hair
And makes me feel alive

Sunrise!
Rise and shine on me
I thank the Gods I'm alive
