J.R.'s Pictures: The Painting (prose)- This is the story of JR. He wants to be a famous painter. It’s all he cares about. Actually, that isn’t true, JR cares equally about Kathie. He’s convinced she’s the love of his life. He spends all of his time painting pictures of her, for her. The story soon becomes a fantasy as JR kills himself when he’s convinced that Kathie is going to die. JR does not think he can live without her.

Fifty First and Broad (script)- In the tradition of O’Henry stories, this script deals with a poet named Jim who only wants a girlfriend. He is disappointed to know that the common known belief that nice guys get the girls is false. Matt is a musician that wants to get discovered. His only problem is that he does not have a band yet. Matt and Jim meet at the bus stop, 51st and Broad. They discuss their lives and where they are headed.

Losing Utopia (script) - Freddie loves his life. His parents are never around, he’s always throwing parties, he’s dating cousins. It’s perfect. One morning, Freddie gets an email from his parents saying that they’re moving. Freddie doesn’t want to give up his life. On this day, his entire world falls apart. Freddie has to struggle to hold on to everything he’s losing. This script is in the style of the John Hughes films in the 80's.

The Other Five Percent (script) - Niles is content with knowing that his life is going nowhere. He does not care about being a part of the large amount of people who do not strive for greatness. Then Quinn walks into his life. She is completely wrong for him. She has ambition, she has goals, she’s part of the five percent of people in the world who’ll do something great. Niles falls for her instantly.

Next Stop, Fifty First and Broad (script)- Steve, JR, and Niles all have trouble in their love lives. Steve does not know why Vanessa dumped him. Niles said the wrong thing and Quinn dumped him. JR threw away a great friendship because he could not handle it. Now, the three of them are on a bus, going to see the site where their favorite musician was discovered. On the ride there, they discuss what they’ve done wrong and what they should do to fix it.

My Life (Or Lack There of) (prose)- Ray does not know much about love and friendships, but after meeting Ann and Sandy, he gets a crash coarse in it. Over a course of three years, Ray fumbles with his relationships with the two girls. He makes mistakes, and knows he cannot fix them. Ray loses Sandy and nearly loses Ann. As time goes on, Ray begins to fall in love with Ann. He cannot decide what he should do to manage the relationships in life.

I’m Not Lisa (script)- A small town in Jersey is being terrorized by a killer who goes around dressed as various cast members of the television show, Saved By The Bell. Is the killer Niles, the town slacker who does not give a damn about anyone but himself? Or Vanessa, an un-closeted lesbian who’s been made an outcast? Or Stuart, the loser who loves horror films and wishes he could be popular? Maybe it could be Jason, the new kid. This is not the typical murder mystery script. There is no attractive female hero. As Stuart says, "A dork and a dyke can’t successfully carry a scary movie."

Thursday (script)- Ray is convinced that he is going to have the perfect day. Ann does not want him to get his hopes up. Ray wants the to take advantage of this great day and ask Carmen out. Ann does not want to see him get turned down. Ray wants to recite a poem for Carmen at the talent show. Ann does not want Ray to humiliate himself. Ray and Ann talk throughout the day, leading up to the moment when Ray decides to read the poem in front of everyone.

What About Now? (prose)- Steve has made it in the film business. His first film was hit. He wants to make a second, but is having trouble with the funding and an idea to create. Then Ann walks into his life. She is still heart broken from her relationship with Ray. Steve wants to marry her. She wants him to go back to New Jersey.

When It All Made Sense (prose)- Ray is ready to move on in his life. He’s off to college, looking for new experiences, these experiences come from Kathie. They fall start a relationship right away. Because of this, Ray is forced to break Ann’s heart. He does, regretfully. He puts Ann away with the rest of the things from his childhood.

Right To Exist (prose)- This two page installment deals with the final thoughts of Stuart before he is sentenced to death. He gets one last visit from an old friend and rants about what’s wrong with the world.

Painted Life : The Painting (prose)- JR is all grown up. He no longer paints. He has a decent job, loving wife, and a young child. Then Kathie comes back into his life. She just got divorced and wants to be with JR again. The fact that he has a whole new life does not matter to her. JR is torn over what to do. He goes back and forth in his mind, over to stay with his new life, to go back to his old one.

The Things I Do For Nothing (script) - Ray is a mess, he’s exhausted from the hurtful life he’s led. On Christmas Eve, he meets Freddie in a bar. Freddie goes on to talk about his last Christmas with his best friend Keg. Keg was acting very depressed. Freddie did not know what to do. He sent Niles to cheer Keg up, but nothing worked. Freddie decides to throw a party, it just goes off from there.
