Dexcon 2005 scenarios: “Wrong Long Past Right” on Friday night and “What Evil Is Made Of”, the big Arthedain castle siege of Saturday afternoon.
I wish to thank the following players for stopping by and playing: Ken Richlin, Rich Flynn, Steve Farlane, Josh Peabody and Trent (sorry, misplaced your last name), as well as the usual suspects: Andy (I don’t wanna play Orcs) Schweighardt, Mike (I’m out of the house) Vapnik, Brian (Playing “Good” is boring) Beyer, Carl (I don’t play Bad Guys) Brooks, and Mike (Never trust a smiling Nazgul) Perks.
Wrong Long Past Right : You are out in the foothills of Gondor, far from the great White City of Minas Tirith, leading your companions on a holy quest. You encounter a small town suffering from mysterious disappearances no one wishes to investigate. As a Knight of the Realm you consider it your duty to assist, and that’s when the trouble begins.
Scenario Details: Early in the age of Gondor, a Knight is given a quest to investigate disappearances deep in the foothills of the back country. For help he has his trusty Squire, some Northman Mercenaries, a Rogue and a young Mage. They encounter more than they bargained for.
Saturday afternoon @ 3pm --- “What Evil Is Made Of”
Event Description: Evil can be made from Greed or Lust. It can be born of misplaced Pride or Vengeance, or grow from Prejudice, or Jealousy. And sometimes it is just spawned and raised to be…. Now lead your horde from the Pits of Carn Dum to spearhead the assault the bastions of the Northern Kingdom as the Witch King releases his Dogs of War to begin the annihilation of the Dunedain of the North.
Scenario Details: You will play some of the big bad guys of the Witch King, assaulting a rigorously defended castle of the Northern Dunedain. You will need to worry about their steadfast Infantry, deadly heavy Mounted Knights and stealthy but few Ranger archers. They will have an experienced Commander with some talented Heroes, and can call upon some limited Magic.
