In loyalty to her mother you will try to save the princess from those you previously served. You have no doubts in an open battle but your biggest problem now will be how to identify who you can trust.

Talmagalen (‘Tal’) – Taredain Scout of the Border Watch – Your outward youth belies years of experience in the wilderness. Now you are trying to lead these few outlaws into the wilderness that is your home. A good tracker and archer, some of your natural instincts and talents may serve well with these new dangers.

• Very good wilderness skills, good warrior and archer, some languages, mental skills.

 

Sergeant Jareth – Eredrim soldier of the Guard within Minas Girithlin – You were chosen because of your loyalty and honor to guard the ‘young lady’. In an instant you turned away from a life of service because you believe your loyalty and honor demanded it, you’re now an outlaw and tracked by soldiers you once led.

• Good warrior skills, weapon and armor. tough mentality.

 

Soldier Hague Varoson – Northman soldier (Mercenary) of the Guard within Minas Girithlin – You do not do this because of honor or orders. An experienced soldier with many talents beyond a normal soldier’s means you see an great opportunity, and an excuse you break-up the boredom of what was a dull life in service. While Jareth used to act like your jailer now he needs your help and you are enjoying that.

Soldier Yorlen – Northman soldier of the Garrison within Girithlin town – You are only a member of the town garrison, but a trusted friend of Jareth. You also like ‘her ladyship’ and she looks upon you as a personal protector. Your huge frame, massive strength, and occasional battle rage hide a quiet personality.

• Biggest, strongest warrior, berserk rage.

 

Master Hayden Tremayne – young Eredrim nobleman (Rogue) and friend of Duannon – Man about town, popular with the ladies and admired by your peers, this is the type of adventure you’ve been waiting for. Now all that time spent on the ‘wrong side of town’ will come to good use. Duannon was afraid you’d turn down this dangerous request but you wouldn’t miss it.

Oisin MacKarrens – young Dunlending Woodsman – Only a trusted mutual acquaintance could have gotten you involved in the intrigues of the twisted City-folk, but you realize what this may mean to you people so you assist. Although you are lost in the crowded city, when you get to the wilds you will be the hunter.

Tyson MacTavish – experienced Dunlending Warrior and mentor of Oisin – You are the older mentor to Oisin and are in this, against your will, because of your Geas to him. Although you hate the dishonorable and deceitful ways of the cityfolk, you are rather superstitious and Fate has called your name. So you will show ‘Stonemen’ what a free-spirited hero can do. Now the shoe is on the other foot.

Tanis a court scribe – a member of the castle staff – Years of writing and studying never prepared you for this! How could you have gotten involved in such a mess. Oh yes, you were told by your boss the Court Chamberlain. Although you always cower from his stern gaze maybe you should have suggested this is a bit over your head. Oh well, you’re in for it now.
