American Atheists Autumnal Equinox Brunch Was a Success!

This year's New Jersey Equinox Brunch was a success! It was held at Tumulty's Pub, in New Brunswick. 32 Freethinkers attended, enjoyed a delicious meal, and listened to talks from Green Party Senatorial candidate Bruce Afran and Aaron Kromash, Green Party Congressional candidate, 3rd district.

Mr. Afran and Mr. Kromash were very cordial to our group, expressing their support for state/church separation, and clarifying some of the Green Party's positions. It was a good opportunity for us to learn more about the Green Party, and relate to them our concerns about this year's political campaigns.

Attendees included 5 year old Annie Greene~a young Atheist from Elizabeth, NJ.

The staff at Tumulty's Pub was more than helpful, and the food was great! Tumulty's is right smack in the center of downtown New Brunswick, and was a convenient and memorable building for our meeting.

The new New York State Director for American Atheists, Chris Morton was there as well. He introduced himself and gave us information about his plans for upcoming events in New York. His New York's Atheists webpage is at: http://www.atheists.org/ny A meeting in Brooklyn for New York City Atheists was also discussed, and a date for that should be announced soon.

Thanks to everyone who came out! :o)
