The Dodge Stealth is a grand touring 2+2 seater sport coupe built in Nagoya, Japan by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. The Stealth is almost identical to the Mitsubishi GTO or 3000GT. Most of the Stealth was designed and built by Mitsubishi. However, the body styling was designed by Dodge.
The Dodge Stealth became available in 1991. It was available in four trim levels: Base, ES, R/T, and R/T Twin Turbo.
The Base Stealth was available until 1995. It features a 3.0-liter SOHC 12 valve V6 which produces 164 horsepower at 5,500 rpm with 180 lbs-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm.
The Stealth ES was available until 1993. The ES and the R/T both feature a 3.0-liter DOHC 24 valve V6 which produces 222 horsepower at 6,000 rpm with 205 lbs-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm.
The R/T Twin Turbo features a 3.0-liter DOHC 24 valve twin-turbocharged twin-intercooled V6 which produces 320 horsepower at 6,000 rpm with 315 lbs-ft of torque at 2,500 rpm. (The 1991-1993 Stealth R/T Twin Turbo models produce 300 horsepower with 307 lbs-ft of torque.)
The R/T Twin Turbo comes standard with a triple mode Electronically Controlled Suspension and a dual mode Active Exhaust. It is available with Full-time All-Wheel Drive which includes All-Wheel Steering.
In late 1995, it was announced the Dodge Stealth would not be produced after 1996 due to slow sales.
