"Brad, if you're gonna smoke in the car, open the damn window. It smells so gross in here." Casey complained in the car. Brad was driving her home from a party. It was about 2 am.
"Nope, sorry Casey. It's too cold to open the window."
"But Brad..." Casey whined. Brad slammed on the brakes, causing Casey to fly forward in her seat.
"Dammit Casey! Just shut the hell up for once or I'm gonna make you walk the damn 5 miles home!" Brad yelled.
"OK, Brad." Casey whimpered. She hated it when Brad acted like this. The fact that he was drunk didn't help at all. Casey wasn't stupid, but she had no one else to drive her home and she didn't want to walk 15 miles this early in the morning. She didn't like him anymore, but she wasn't sure how he'd react if she broke up with him. She decided to ask Taylor for advice.
"Hi Tay!" Casey said brightly over the phone when Taylor picked up the reciever.
"Oh, hi Casey!" Taylor answered, startled. Ever since Casey had met that Brad guy, she barely ever called him anymore, and when she did, she always had to cut it short or else Brad would get mad.
"Tay, I really gotta ask you something..." Casey continued. "How do you break up with a guy?"
"Casey, I don't go out with guys, I go out with girls." tay told her.
"No Tay, I'm asking you since you're a guy!" Casey whined.
"Ok, Casey," Taylor laughed. "I dunno, I've never been broken up with before. But I guess just tell him and sh*t." Tay told Casey.
"But, Tay, I don't wanna hurt his feeling cuz I don't want him to get mad!"
"Casey, don't worry, he won't do anything to you. I promise." Tay told her.
"Well, I guess so." Casey whined, "But if he does, you're in big trouble, Taylor Hanson!"
"Fine!" Taylor laughed. "Well, I really gotta go. I'll call you, k?"
"K, Tay, Bye!!" Casey chirped, hanging up. Inside, Taylor cringed. He hoped he told Casey to do the right thing. If anything happened to Casey because of him, he didn't know what he would do.
"Oh my God, Casey, Brad's really pissed off that you broke up with him." Kristi told Casey at lunch, "But I'm glad you did. I told you he was a big jerk."
"Thanks," Casey sarcastically told her, rubbing the bruise she got on her arm from slamming it into the door. She was pissed when Brad showed up at her house, so she ran up to her room, and ran right into the half open door. She was so dumb. The bruise was really big and hurt like a b*tch.
"Have you talked to Taylor?" Kristi asked, excitedly. She was still in shock because she met THE Taylor Hanson.
"Yeah, and he seemed pretty happy that I broke up with your cousin too." Casey smiled.
"See? I told you he's not great."
"Just shut up about it Kristi." Casey smiled. "Oh yeah, are you coming to Times Square with us tomorrow?"
"Casey, we have school tomorrow."
"I know, well, I'm going there with Lizzie and Joe, and we're meeting Laura there. You remember her, right?"
"Yeah, but I dunno. My parents would kill me!" Kristi yelled.
"Suit yourself!" Casey shrugged and walked started to walk away.
"Wait!" Kristi sighed. "I'm in."
"Well, see you tomorrow morning at 7 by the flagpole. The bus leaves at 7:30 by the corner at CVS. Ok?"
"Ok..." Kristi trailed off. She didn't like the thought of cutting school, but the city was cool!
