"Tay, are you kidding me?!" Casey exclaimed on the phone, after Taylor had just informed her that he was going out with a girl named Andrea.
"No, Casey, I'm not. If you're allowed to go out with a guy, why can't I go out with a girl?" Tay asked his friend. He had really expected Casey to have a better attitude about this.
"Oh..." Casey dismally responded. Sure, she had gone out with a guy, but why did Tay have to go out with a girl? She never thought that anyone would take Taylor away from her. "Well, what's she like?"
"Well, she's really nice," Taylor began.
"Oh..." Casey added again. This really sucked. If she knew the girl, she might not mind, but she'd never even heard of this girl until today. "Tay, I gotta go now, bye..." Casey hung up the phone quickly. At this point, Taylor was really confused. He didn't understand why Casey was acting this way. He seriously thought she would be happy for him.
"Tay, who was that on the phone?" Andrea asked him when she noticed his face.
"Oh, it was my friend Casey." Tay shrugged.
"Oh," This time it was Andrea's turn to look dissapointed. "Who's that?"
"Oh, she used to live next door, but she moved 4 years ago to New York." Tay informed her. "Shit!" he suddenly said, "I forgot to tell her we're going to New York next week! Dammit!"
"It's Ok, Tay." Andrea told him. "Why does she have to know?"
"Andrea, she's like, my best friend. I have to tell her so we can hang out!"
"So, you're saying that you'd rather hang out with her than with me, right?" Andrea told him.
"No, it's just that I never get to see her and I like hanging out with her. And since you're coming with us, you can meet her."
"Fine." Andrea said disgustedly. Before she could make any judgements, she had to meet this girl.
"Oh my God Tay, hi!" Casey squealed as she ran over to him in the airport and gave him a big hug.
"Hey, I didn't think I'd see you here!" Tay exclaimed, giving her a quick kiss. "Don't you have school?"
"Yeah," Casey shrugged. "I cut and my friend drove me here."
"Casey, you shouldn't do that." Tay laughed. He looked behind him and noticed a very annoyed Andrea. "Oh, Casey, this is Andrea, and Andrea, this is Casey."
"Hi." Andrea told her.
"Oh, hi." Casey told her. Already, she didn't like this girl. Taylor sensed this and tried to break the akward silence. "Well, we'd better get going!" he chirped.
"Tay, can I play hockey too?" Andrea asked Taylor later on at Casey's house.
Taylor shot Casey a look. "Um, sure, but Casey's good." he told her.
"That's OK." Andrea remarked. She didn't like Casey already and she wanted to prove to Tay that she was just as good as Casey.
"Andrea, you try." Tay told her, after he had unsuccessfully taken 4 shots on Casey.
"Ok!" she chirped, shooting a horrible shot. Casey got the puck, stickhandled it for a second, and then shot it back at an unsuspecting Andrea, smacking her in the stomach.
"Ow, sh*t you f*cking b*tch!" Andrea screamed. "What the f*ck was that for!?"
Taylor skated to Casey, hissing, "Casey, what the f*ck was that?"
"Tay, first rule of hockey." she told him. "Hockey hurts." Casey smiled. At this, Tay had to smile too. He could never stay mad at Casey. He looked back at a very pissed off Andrea.
"C'mon Tay!" Casey yelled, "Let's get away from this b*tch."
Tay glared at her as Casey walked inside. "Andrea, why? She's my best friend. Can't you get that through your head?"
"But Tay," Andrea whined, "She's a big b*tch. Did you see what she did to me?"
"Yes," Tay sighed, but that's just the way Casey is."
"So? She's still a b*tch."
At that moment, Tay knew he had to make a descision.
