"Tay, you don't know how happy I am that you're staying here while you're in NY." Casey sighed. "You don't know how much I miss you all the time. I wish that I'd never moved."
"Casey, you know that you had to. I mean, I miss you too, a lot, but isn't there a saying that absence makes the heart grow fonder?" Tay smiled.
"You and your quotes." Casey laughed. "But still, I wish things were like they used to be."
"No offense, but they couldn't be anyway." Tay told her. "It's crazy at home with all those freaky girls there all the time. It can be cool sometimes, but it's a little too much..." Tay trailed off.
"I know...sometimes, though, I wish that you didn't ever become famous. Just because we could spend time together, and without weird girls coming and accusing me of being your girlfriend and crap. I could never go out with you!" Casey smiled, and started laughing at the look on Tay's face.
"Are you saying that there's something wrong with me? " Tay joked around.
"Well, I'm saying that I don't see what they see in you, cuz they don't know you at all, they only know the superstar image."
"I know..." Tay said.
"Ok, hold on!" Casey yelled. "We're getting a little too mushy. C'mon and let me kick your ass at hockey!"
"Fine!" Tay laughed as they ran outside.
"Tay, I told you that I would beat you again!" Casey told him an hour later, after beating him in a game.
"Come on, you know that I haven't practiced in a while." Tay told her.
"Just admit that I won again and you're never ever going to beat me at it, Tay." Casey grinned at him.
"Oh, shut up!" he said.
"Why, you can't handle the truth?" Casey asked him, laughing.
"What truth?" he told her. "You know I can beat you."
"Even though you never have?" Casey grinned.
"Nah, I always let you win." he told her jokingly.
"Sure ya do, Tay, sure ya do. Just shut up and let's play some more hockey."
"Tay!?" Casey called, knocking on the door of the guest room, "Are you in there?" After hearing no answer, she knocked again, "Come on Tay, get out here." Suddenly, someone came up behind her around her waist and started tickling her. "Tay!" she yelled, laughing, "You're such a dork!"
"What can I say," Tay shrugged, laughing. "I had to get back at you for beating me at hockey last night."
"My friend Tay, the sore loser." Casey sarcastically told him. "Anyways, I wanted to go to the mall and wanted to know if you would come with me. Besides, my mom would get mad if I went without you."
"Well, I dunno..." Tay told her, teasingly.
"Come on Tay!" she said, hugging him. "I'll love you forever if you do." she laughed.
"Well, if that's the case..." Tay laughed at her. "Why do you want to go to the mall so badly?"
"Cuz I'm meeting someone there." Casey told him, "And I know my mom would never let me go if she knew."
"Fine," Tay said, "I'll go as long as you don't ditch me."
"Would I ever do that?" she asked him, laughing.
