"I don't belive it. I just don't fucking believe it." Casey bitterly said to no one in particular, biting her thumb and staring in disgust.
"Casey," Ike tapped her on the shoulder.
Casey jumped. "Oh my god, you scared me." she told him. "I don't believe this." She frantically took her lighter out of her purse and lit a cigarette.
"It's OK, Taylor's old enough to learn things himself now."
"What is that supposed to mean," she turned to him in disgust.
"Nothing, don't take it the wrong way." he answered, shaking his head.
"Just for your information, I do not baby him!" she defensively replied, glaring at Isaac. "I just try to look out for his best interests..." she quietly continued. "I just don't believe that girl."
"Come on, let's go over to Taylor's friends now." Isaac put his hands on Casey's shoulder's and led her over to the corner bar where Chris and Greg were. They sat down and Casey sighed deeply. "You look like you need a drink." he turned to the bartender, "Can I have a Black Russian and a tequila." He turned back to Casey, "Look, we're all here to have fun, so let's just chill and be cool about everything, OK?"
"Fine," Casey softly replied, shaking her head, "I'll try." She took a sip of the Black Russian the bertender had just put in front of her. "Thanks for the drink, I needed it." She smiled at him and took a drag of her cigarette.
"I don't think that boy will ever learn," Greg told Isaac and Casey as they all glanced over to where Taylor and Lucie were having drinks and a seemingly good time."
"I think you're right," Casey bitterly answered, taking another sip of her drink.
"Taylor, you're such a sweet guy," she smiled at him, brushing her hand over his cheek. "I hope you know I missed you."
"Lucie," he sighed, "Why do you do this to me?"
"Do what?" she asked, innocently smiling at him.
"Love me one minute, hate me the next," he told her, a sadness in his eyes.
"I could never hate you Taylor," she told him, kissing him sweetly on the cheek, "Things just happen, like your friend Casey, who for some reason feels the need to get mad at me all the time for no reason." she continued, a hint of bitterness in her voice.
"I'm sorry Casey doesn't like you much, but don't let her bother you, she has a big mouth."
"She already freaked out on me tonight," Lucie said to him, tears welling in her eyes, "All that happened was I was talking to your brother and he bought me a drink, and she totally freaked out on me."
"Don't worry about her," he replied.
"It's really hot in here, can we go outside?" she asked him.
"Sure," he replied as they made their way through the maze of people to the front doors.
"Taylor, I just want you to know that I think you should give us another chance." she told him glancing at the ground, then staring at him. "I made a mistake last time, and I won't do anything like that again." she smiled at him.
"I missed you so much," he told her as he pulled her close for a deep kiss.
"Taylor, I'm getting bored of this place, let's go." she pulled on his hand.
"I really hope you're having fun tonight." Casey told Ike as they sat at the bar. "I mean, I wanted to come here tonight so everyone would have fun, but it didn't turn out exactly like I planned," she looked at him woefully.
"Don't worry, I'm having fun." he replied.
"I mean like, with Lucie and everything, I shouldn't have yelled at you or whatever. I mean, like, she's that gorgeous blond girl that everyone always either wants or wants to be and I kinda chased her away from you earlier."
"And now she's somewhere with my little brother," he replied, smiling.
"Yeah," Casey quietly answered, "Sorry."
"It's OK, don't worry about it."
"I feel bad though, because like, you meet this girl and buy her a drink and everything and now she's with your brother, and there's no more girl for you to have fun with tonight because of me and that was the whole point of coming here tonight, to have fun."
"Hey, I said, don't worry about it, OK?" He smiled at her. "I don't need to meet any new girls here. And I'm already having lots of fun with someone tonight now, and that's more than good enough for me."
"Oh my god, you're so sweet," Casey answered him, tears welling in her eyes as she gave him a hug. "You're too damn nice..." she quietly continued, her head on his shoulder.
"Hey," Greg nudged Chris with his elbow, "And she thought she screwed up tonight." he quietly told him, grinning.
"Are you hungry, or thirsty or anything?" Lucie asked as they sat on the couch in the living room of her apartment. "Do you want another drink?"
"No, I'm fine." he answered her.
"Good," she smiled at him. "You're so beautiful," she told him, putting her hand on his face. "I don't think you even know it." She gently kissed him.
"I want you so much right now," he whispered in her ear.
"That's just what I wanted to hear," she replied, unbuttoning his shirt, "Exactly what I wanted to hear.
"Well, we have to go now, we'll probably see you sometime this week." Greg and Chris stood up.
"Bye guys," Casey got up and gave both of them hugs. I'll see you."
"Night," Chris said to them again as he took Greg's hand and they made their way through the hazy club and the masses of people to the door.
"They are so cute together," Casey told Ike after they left. I love those guys, I really do." She lit another cigarette. "I think we should get going soon too." she continued, glancing at her watch.
"Good idea," Ike replied, scanning the club for his brother. "Where's Taylor, I don't see him."
"I'll give you three guesses," Casey answered, "This always happens when she's around. They disappear and he always shows up later. Let's just go." She rolled her eyes as they got up.
