Taylor shuddered as he woke up, a cold sweat on his forehead. It was only a dream he reminded himself, only a dream. He hated this dream, so many bad memories. He wished that his dream was only that, a dream, but it wasn't. Ever since that night in NY city, his life had changed drastically. Here he was in New York with his best friend sice childhood, Casey. He had to depend on her for some things now, things that he couldn't do himself anymore, being in a wheelchair and all. When Casey was at school, he did some things himself, but it was always better when she was there.
Casey was a junior at Columbia University in the city. She lived in a nice apartment not too far from the campus. 5 days a week she left Tay at 9 am until about 3 or 4 in the afternoon, then came home and worked as a waitress from 7 till 1 at a nearby restaraunt. She was going to get Taylor a job soon, too. He was going to work at a clerk in the office building where their good friend Josh worked as an attorney. Tay could do that, it seemed easy enough. Besides, it was much better than sitting in the apartment or going to the park every day.
