A Goth, contrary to popular belief, does not believe in violence, and we, as of recent, have come under fire due to the incidents in Littleton, CO. Goths have gotten a bad rep, calling our lifestyle "evil", and that pisses me off. My friend James and I suffer the most, because we are the only real Goths in our town, probably the county. Our parents criticize us, considering it "stupid" and my parents are the biggest hypocrites of all time. They say that they will stand behind me one hundred percent....BULL&%!#, the one time I feel comfortable with my life, and my parents turn their back on me!!!!!!! No shock, they really don't care much about my happiness and satisfaction!!!! Why is it that parents say that they care about our feelings, and as soon as you feel comfortable with your life, being a Goth, they dump all over you! Also, why do parents only care about your happiness when it makes sense to them, and not when it only makes sense to you? A Goth is not violent and we don't go shooting up a school. If someone pisses us off, we just let it slide. That's all, we don't really believe in violence, but we will fight if provoked. Other than that, we are non-violent, good natured, and polite, at least I am, I'm not sure about James. We are officially a minority, because we have been blamed for something we aren't responsible for. Example, crime: blacks, overpopulation: Chinese, no jobs: Mexicans, and teen shootings and voilence: GOTHS!!!! I rest my case! Also, it came to James and mine's attention that problems arose in the teenage demographic, and there was more violence since Bill Watterson retired. I realize that Calvin And Hobbes kept the peace in this country! And look what happened after he retired, the nation went to S#!T!!!!!!!!! We need to band together and make him realize that the world was in better condition when a story about a 6 yr. old boy and his stuffed tiger were in it. We need Bill Watterson back, and I will do the most I can to bring back Calvin and Hobbes!
