'Geeze Liz...you're taking all of this?' J asked amazed at the stack of luggages in the corner.
'Its nothing' I shrugged it off. Becky ran into the room, she stopped in the doorway realizing J was there.
'Hey Becky' He greeted her.
'Hey' She replied and walked towards me 'We have to do something' she whispered.
'About' I asked. Becky turned to J and smiled. He looked at her and then at me and nodded.
'Girl talk, eh?' He smiled understandingly and walked out of the room.
'We have to get Mel to come with us' Becky said as the door closed.
'Its too late' I replied 'We're leaving tomorrow evening'
'Abs just called' Becky said despretaly 'Mel walked out on him'
'Thats Melanie' I giggled 'She's stubborn'
'I can't let Autumn to have her way!' Becky exclaimed frustrated.
'What?' I asked confused.
'She's positive that Mel won't come...I have to prove her wrong'
'You're just bored' I told her and patted Becky on her back. She glared at me and shook her head 'I am going to make sure Autumn won't keep Mel here'
'Autumn is our best friend!' I exclaimed, irritated.
'Are you sure?' Becky asked coldly 'Cause she hasn't been acting like it recently'
Bundle of nerves? A bitch? Is this what I am to them?! I am some kind of a thing they want to ignore? Oh we'll see about that!
'Melanie' Abs yelled as he pulled up beside me 'Get in the car'
'Why should I?' I snapped 'So you'll continue telling me what my friends think of me'
'Come on Melanie, you don't even know where you're going'
I stopped walking and looked around, he was right I had no idea where I was.
'Its all your fault!' I exclaimed 'You drove me out here!!'
'So get in the car and I'll drive you back' Abs replied as he continued driving beside me.
I looked at him and shook my head quickly. He stopped the car and got out of it.
'Wait!' He grabbed my arm and stopped me 'Come on Mel...let me drive you home'
'Don't!' I hissed and jerked my hand from him 'I don't need you!'
'Would you stop!' Abs exclaimed frustrated 'Would you for once let someone do something good for you?!'
'I did!' I yelled back 'I depended on Scott with everything and when he left I had nothing!' I could feel tears welling up in my eyes 'I couldn't take care of myself...cause he took everything I ever knew with him'
'Mel' Abs took my hand and squeezed it tightly 'I understand... but me getting close to you doesn't mean I'm taking away your independence'
By now tears were streaming down my face, Abs took his hand and wiped them of my cheek 'This is the first time I see you cry' he whispered 'You look better with a smile'
I lowered my head trying to hide my emotions.
'Come on' He whispered leading me back to the car.
I walked downstairs just as Abs and Melanie walked through the door. Mel's head was lowered as she walked past me. I looked at Abs puzzled awaiting his explanation, but he just smiled and followed Mel upstairs.
'That was Abs?' Amanda asked as she appeared from the kitchen.
'And Mel' I replied still looking at the stairs.
'What happened?' she asked.
'I don't know' I replied with a shrug and went upstairs. Abs was standing in the hallway with Melanie in his arms. I stood there watching them shocked, Mel displaying her emotions to a guy?
'Hey!' Liz exclaimed when she saw them 'Nice to have you back!'
Melanie pulled away and looked at her blankly, she gave a quick glance towards me and walked into her room. Liz turned to Abs confused 'What was that?'
'Well...' He began slowly 'She is going with us to New York...thats for sure'
'What?!' I exclaimed 'How is that possible!? She's...she's...to late...I mean...what?!'
'She decided to go...' Abs grinned satisfied with himself 'But...I don't think she's talking to you'
'What?' Liz exclaimed herself 'Why wouldn't she be talking to us?'
'Well, I kind of told her what you thought of her' Abs replied quietly.
'You did!?' Liz yelled irritated 'Why'd you do that?!'
'Well someone had to!' He defended himself.
'So who is she talking to now?' I asked.
'Me...I guess'
'Well this is great' Liz mumbled 'Thanks a lot!'
'Yea Abs!' I shot him a glare and walked away with Liz.
'Hey...it ain't my fault!' He yelled after us.
