'When are you going to tell him?' Ritch asked as we ate our breakfast.
'Soon' I replied calmly hoping he wouldn't force me.
'Soon?' He stormed 'Do it now!'
'Would you let me eat my breakfast?!' I snapped at him, his face calmed down a bit.
'I saw you packing' He blurted out after a short silence. 'Where do you think you're going?'
I looked up at him even more annoyed then before. 'I'm leaving, got a problem?'
'Back to England?'
'Yes, I booked at 5 o'clock flight' I replied casually, he stared at me blankly like Melanie did.
'What about our plan?' He cried out desperately.
'Our plan?' I shook my head 'This was your plan...'
He grabbed my hand and squeezed it tight. 'You have to do it! You have to tell him!'
'Ritch' I sighed 'Just live with the fact that you lost'
'We haven't lost yet!' He exclaimed angrily. 'Do this! Before you leave'
His grip on my hand tightened more as he looked at me with an expectant look.
I sighed heavily before nodding to him.'That's odd' Liz commented as I told her the story of Autumn after breakfast. 'Maybe she's just leaving early to burn the house down for us'
'Liz!' I exclaimed frustrated. 'Get serious'
'I am' She nodded at me with grin. 'Come on Mel, isn't this what you wanted? Autumn out of your way?'
'When did I say that?!'
'Well, I think the pasta in your hair after the first dinner said it all, don't you think?'
I sighed heavily. 'Autumn and I were close friends once.'
'Things change' She shrugged carelessly. 'Let her move out. Might as well anyway. She might explode in there seeing Amanda and that bloke together. Besides I need an extra room for my clothing'
'It's always about you' I muttered and slid off the bed like a sack of flour.
'Melanie Melanie' She shook her head at me disapprovingly. 'Look at you, you have no energy now. You have to get out more, exercise, look how pale you are! I'm telling you!'
'See what pop music does to me!' I cried out and laughed slightly.
'It's those guys' I heard her say quietly.
'Scott?' I asked intrigued by what she meant.
'No' She quickly shook her head and continued flipping though the pages of the magazine she was reading.
'Abs?' I asked now more interested. 'How does Abs affect me?' Why did I even bother to ask a question when I knew the answer. Liz took a deep breath, I knew then she was about to let it all slip.
'Melanie' She looked at me compassionately. 'Did I ever tell you of my story of first love?'
'About a million times' I groaned.
'Well, then lets skip the story and get to the point' She clasped her hands thoughtfully. 'When you walked out of Scott's dressing room, what did you feel?'
I looked up at her confused. 'Nothing'
'Come on!' She shouted. 'Don't be all tough now!'
'Fine, I felt disappointed, sad...lost'
'Aha!' She pointed her finger at me. 'Lost! And when you felt lost who did you think of?'
'My bed?'
'For God's sake! A person!'
I rolled my eyes at her for being so serious. 'I don't know' I shrugged and looked away from her 'Abs, I guess'
'Why?' Now she sounded like Barbara Walters.
'Liz, stop' I mumbled, shaking off the thoughts that began forming in my head.
'Mel!' She looked at me gravely.
'I guess he was the one I turned to during the last week'
Liz nodded approvingly. 'Then tell me this... how did you feel towards Scott during the first few months of meeting him?'
I closed my eyes shut, feeling the tears coming on. I hated being reminded of the memories I tired so hard to forget.
'Didn't you want to turn to him for help?' She asked quietly.
'Always' I replied.
'Melanie' I could hear her sit next to me, her hand on mine. 'Don't you see it?'
I opened my eyes and turned to her, hoping to see what she saw.
'Abs is the one you should be with' She smiled 'He was there all this time under your nose, caring for you, hoping you would feel the same way. And I know that somewhere in you, you feel the same way towards him. Fate brought you two together, now its up to you to make it really happen.'
I handed Abs the bowl of popcorn and took a seat on the bed.
'When do you leave for the shoot?' I asked him after a short silence.
'In 2 hours' He replied nonchalantly, staring blankly at the tv.
'I guess Chris doesn't want me there' I sighed.
'I guess' He shrugged and dug into the popcorn. I looked at him amused. His mouth was slightly open as he admired the infomercial on tv.
His eyebrow raised curiously at it. Slightly reminding me of Melanie when she's putting all her concentration into something.
'I think you should be with Mel' I blurted out, slapping my hand to my mouth as soon as the words came out. Abs's head turned to face me with a weird look in his eyes.
'What did you say?'
'Nothing' I denied it. 'It was nothing'
He continued looking at me strangely before finally turning back to the tv.
I breathed a sigh of relief.'Mel and I are the past' He suddenly said. I looked at him stunned and afraid he might hate me for saying the words. Before I could speak there was a knock on the door. Without waiting for a reply Scott burst in with a tray of food.
'Hi Abs' He stopped seeing his mate on the bed.
'I'll leave you two alone' Abs grinned sheepishly at me and walked out.
I jumped off the bed and ran towards Scott.
'Brought you food' He announced revealing a variety of breakfast meals. 'I didn't know what you like so...'
'You brought the whole menu' I kissed his cheek. 'How sweet'
'Anything for my dream girl' He whispered and kissed me.
'I love you' I said softly when he pulled away. A smile spread his face. 'I love you too Amanda'
