2 months later…
Jodi looked down at the small paper in her hands then back at the house she was standing in front. She heard the screeching of the tires as the taxi drove off, leaving her alone with this strange place.
The house looked nothing like she imagined. It looked so plain, too plain for anyone. Appearance obviously was to mislead people. The front door wasn’t even closed. A slight opening let her hear people’s voices coming from inside. Her shaky hand touched the doorbell lightly, making it go off. In a matter of seconds a young lad stood in the doorway. He looked at her dazed, almost blankly.
‘W-hoo are YOU?’ His slurred speech put Jodi off. She could smell the strong stench of alcohol coming from his mouth. The lad didn’t wait for her reply; he swung the door fully open and left. The smell of alcohol came from every corner of the house, or at least Jodi could sense so. If Sean lives in these conditions, he’ll rot. She looked at the dirty clothes discarded around the house with concern.
Walking from the door towards the sound of people, she hesitated slightly at sleeping bodies on the floor. What a bash.
‘Sean’ Came a quiet shriek at the sight of his state. Sean’s body laid limply on the floor with his head supported on the armrest of the sofa.
‘Sean’ Jodi rushed over to him and shook him violently. For a second she thought he died. His eyes opened lazily. Red and bloodshot they looked upon Jodi with disorient.
‘What happened to you?’ She asked him, half angry, half relieved he wasn’t with a girl.
‘Jodi?’ Sean tilted his head to the side and smiled weakly. ‘Where is mum?’
‘In Leeds you bastard!’ She slapped him upside his head, hoping that would bring him back to a state of conciseness.
‘Where is Leeds?’
‘Up my butt!’ Someone called out from the corner. Jodi glanced over her shoulder, noticing another body sitting against the wall with a smirk on his face.
‘Up whose butt?’ Sean asked angrily, getting ready for a punch up.
‘I can’t take this!’ Jodi jumped to her feet. Her eyes narrowed at Sean and at his surrounding. ‘Call me when you sober up!’ She dropped a paper with her number on it onto the table by her. One more look toward Sean before leaving. She sighed heavily. 3 months she waited to see him, imagining how it would be. Planning every second of it and now she comes to find this… Yet she loved him even more now, with that innocent look upon his face she watched as he drifted back to sleep.
‘Nothing you do could make me love you less’
